They still would be able to as teams are allowed two jumps and they are yet to have one yet due to dropping in 2023, being last in 2024, and likely last this year.

Either way the dream of a Misa Bedard McKenna top 6 would be goated
For some reason I thought they had jumped up once already. But yeah if that’s not the case, them jumping us this year would be of no help for next year.

But is Bedard a Generatuonal Talent?

His shot was supposed to be that..but poor defense, below average speed and size issue getting shoved off the puck or prevented from getting to the middle slot high danger area is all concerning..

Misa is at least an elite skater .. elkte speed..so no worry there ..plus his hockey I.Q. and good at so many parts of the game.. Maybe he would be the better 1C and either Bedard moves to wing or Bedard gets less checking attention and pressuring as just the 2C.

Yes Bedard has little talent to play with ..but he does not seem to be able ro create enough scoring chances either for his own shot to get on goal or for others to score with easy set ups.I think Misa with his peed and better size woould be harder for defenses to stop without taking a lotvof penalties...Bedard does not have seeningly yenoughv speed to cause the opps to haul him diwn...And just leaning on Bedard seemscenough to stop his attacks too often..
It is a problem.. Maybe Misa solves that by drawing the opps best checkers away from Bedard and his line or they put their top scoring line vs.MIsa to force him to defend..exceot he is a better defending C than Bedard so they could get caught as hevhetscavpuck and zips away for break-awayscorc2von1cs that we just do notvsee enough of fromBedard when ge attemots (poorly) to defend in his own zone?

With the newly acquired draft capital in the Jones trade our seconds this summer (and the one we probably will get from trading Donato) becomes more expendable.

Therefore, I would really like to try and move up into the top 15 and get someone that maybe falls a bit later than expected, ideally Victor Eklund.

We have enough depth prospects in our pool. We need to target players with more upside.
