I’m kind of just hoping for Misa. Schaefer is probably going to be better but we aren’t going to finish last and I don’t want to win the lottery for him over misa. I’d rather have lottery odds next year and misa. I might be wrong but I don’t think you get value for value in a trade of an d man for a forward unless you are lucky when you trade from a position of strength. Anyway that’s how I feel.
I’ll change my mind if we don’t win the lottery and get Matty ice.

I don´t care who the pick is just wish they make home run with it. You can look back past drafts and see that picking order does not become final rank order. Just look at the 2016 draft for example.
I don´t know but I have doubts. It seems that NCAA prepares you better for pro hockey than CHL.

It doesn't matter at all for the top-end guys. Getting an extra year or two our of amateur hockey will certainly help late-bloomers though.

Agree. Also, great facilities at D1, with fewer games and more time for practice and training…strength and conditioning. For example, this is what Levshunov had at his disposal last season.
Are we to compare the bottom photo with 58th and State? Or maybe the southeast side landfill? The landfill near grand and homan?
Nashville is a beautiful city and every major city has areas that could use upgrading.

Preds play the Sabers next, but after that the Hawks might/probably will leapfrog over the Preds and possibly the Sabers as well. You guys feel free to hold me to this if the Hawks lose out and keep a good draft position its a win win.

Say we pick 4th (41% chance of that happening if we finish 31st), who will be the pick if Schaefer, Misa and Hagens is taken?
Consensus is Martone at 4 but he is a weak skater (which KD values highly). Will he still be the pick or will they go for someone like Desnoyers, McQueen or Frondell instead?

Is he really a weak skater or is this more a narrative from message boards? He might not be the fastest out there but is Sam Reinhart fast? No but he has the smarts. Matthew Tkachuk doesn´t fly but he brings so much other things to the table which makes team better.
I don´t know what Davidson or his amateur scouting staff thinks but Eklund sounds someone they would love to have. I just hope they find a good one. No matter what the name is.

They would 100% NOT take Eklund. KD has become aware of the size issue and whats in the pipeline. I remember when they were picking Boisvert and Vanacker, they said they were drafting a little bit different this year ( year prior they took undersized guys) and drafted bigger players. When Lardis, Kantserov, Nazar, and Bedard are your most promising forwards, it would be perplexing to see them draft Eklund. I have nothing against Eklund. He just isn't in a tier of his own in scouts minds like Schaefer is at the top where you MUST draft him.
If it came down to it, I believe Desnoyers would be KD's pick (if they didn't draft Martone). Mcqueen has some serious injury issues that doctors are skeptical of. Frondell doesn't feel like a KD pick (even though I'd be cool with it0.
Eklund doesn’t play small at all though so if he’s not the pick it won’t be because of size.

Hahaha, sorry I know he's your guy from your name. That really caught me off guard lol.
I don't have an issue with guys that play bigger than their size. It's more of the fact he doesn't take as much space away as bigger players do. It's also a premium pick that is very very likely to be put into a top 6 role. It'd be a head scratcher to add him with the given roster construction
