Hey! New poster here. Been a of the hawks and have followed them closely since 07ish. Reading the forums for a few years now. Watching the boys play under the new coach is night and day difference! Richardson looked like NJ in the 90s or something...lol. They're now flying through neutral zone with numbers making stuff happen.

I was hoping to get a high end forward this year in the draft but it's also very enjoyable watching the boys win. Can't have it both ways. I feel like game threads are really negative on players then ya'll get mad when we win because we're ruining the tank. Can't have it both ways haha. Anyways, feel like I'm on a fiddy rant. Hshskzbdbfirnansifnekqoanfne. 9.5. Barfy. Haha just joking fiddy, clean up your posts and you have some good stuff! Unlike musto. That guy is poison. Go hawks!
Welcome

Just give me 26th in the league and the lotto luck one more time, Gary.

With Korch, Lev, Vlas, Bedard, Nazar and the college F crew humming. We just need one more. A big PF Center. Desnoyer to fit the mold. Misa, if I'm greedy. Hagens for showtime but a Snow White team: 7nForward dwarves living with the Tall tree D.

If they do end up picking Hagens, I wonder how they plan on insulating that top 6, given he, Bedard, and Nazar are all 5’10” or under. As we’ve seen in the playoffs, size and physicality are what helps you win during that time of year
I would say that size and physicality are what works now, but the Hawks are building a team to win a 2028-2040 cup. Hockey is getting softer every year. Who is anyone to say what will win in the future. Take the best player and pivot if it's a problem later. At least the team won't be small. The future D is huge.

Its absolutely ridiculous Buffalo is still this bad and they've been bad for several years now.
They've gotten so many high picks over the last decade and yet they are still ass. 2 1st overalls (Dahlin, Power), 2 2nd overalls (Reinhart, Eichel), and 5 other top 10 picks over the last 10 drafts.

They have no reason to be this bad still. Such awful ownership and management.

My current top 4:
1.) Schaefer- looking like a generational true #1 Dman in mold of Cale Makar/Quinn Hughes
2.) Misa-size/speed combo along with elite hands
3.) Hagens- high hockey IQ and hands. Only behind Misa for me due to size
4.) Martone- only outside Hagens and Misa because he is winger and not a center

I really am torn between wanting Blackhawks to win and also losing to stay within top 3 of this draft class. Seth Jones returning is really a blessing at he easily helps us lose more games than wins so at least we have that going for us

well when you get rid of players like Reinhart and Eichel while they are barely touching their primes sit easy to see why they are so bad

I agree actually with your assessment of him, I just don’t see a ton of upside and I question if that’s worth taking in the 3-7 range.

After the first four I think he is as good option as anyone left. Not that I know these prospects that well but what I´ve seen and red different scouting reports he is right there.
