Are you referring to the 2026 draft or 2025 draft? 2025 the Blackhawks have 2 1sts, 2 2nds and 2 4ths
2026 the Hawks have a 1st and 3 2nds
For some reason, I thought they had 3 in 2025. But I'll bet they will before the season is over.

Denoyers is #10 on elite prospects .com...Playmaker/connector at C ,high octane, good size (once he filksvoutv6'2frame) 2 way hame...

But the hidden GaeM with hom is gaceoffs ...I could not find a qmjhl faceoff win % stat for hom...bit looking at game by game stats hexapoearscto be always getting hogh 60's and slnetones 70%+ on draws.. Maybe tge best prospect in the drFt combining scoribg 2 way play and faceoff dominance.

If Hawks do not get the #2or#2draft slots after lotto maybe they tradecdown a couple of spots and take this kid?

Then using an extra first for moving down a bit we combine tgat pick with ourKeafs pick and move up back into the mid teens to get a kid our vaunted scouting dept.t. Aided by our q2 staff anLytics team has identified as a target they realky want.

But shhhsh...do notvtekl anyone about the Denyoyers faceoff prowess....a very very valuable ability Hawks desperately need butcwith at leastc2C scoribg and defebsivecabulities to boot. And that highvoctate motor..
Reeks of very good pro material ..

I still think you cannot pass on Schaefer or Misa of course...but of we do notcsekectvtop two,I woukd consider dropping down a few spots and grabbing Denyoyers +a pick we coukd combine to movevup from that Leafs pick we own.

Hawks are now only 3rd worst in Points Percentage, and a Buffalo loss in regulation against the Leafs tomorrow would bump us up to 4th worst.

Time to start dreaming of Frondell, McQueen, Eklund.
Desnoyers > Frondell, Mcqueen, Eklund for me

He is 63% on the facoff dot and a well rounded player. Him and Bedard would be the perfect combination

Still hope we dont play our selves out of Misa. This team needs forwards in the worst way and I doubt we get as good of a forward prospect back for KK like people constantly suggest
I had a feeling that if/when they starting winning, people would start saying things like this. I'd say as long as the kids keep developing, I'm cool with either winning or getting a top pick. Buffalo and Nashville cannot stay this bad and they'll get a bounce when they fire their coaches and Montreal just added Laine to their lineup.

San Jose and Anaheim have the capacity to stay bad and leapfrog the Hawks in the lottery but how about we just enjoy the winning?

Denoyers is #10 on EliteProspects.com. He’s a playmaker/connector at center with a high-octane game and good size (once he fills out his 6'2" frame). He’s also a two-way player.

But the hidden gem with him is his faceoff ability. I couldn't find a QMJHL faceoff win percentage stat for him, but looking at game-by-game stats, he appears to consistently win in the high 60s, with some games hitting over 70% on draws. He might be the best prospect in the draft when you combine scoring, two-way play, and faceoff dominance.

If the Hawks don't get the #2 or #3 draft slots after the lottery, maybe they trade down a couple of spots and take this kid.

Then, using an extra first-round pick from moving down a bit, we could combine that pick with our Leafs pick and move back into the mid-teens to grab a kid that our vaunted scouting department, aided by our Q2 staff analytics team, has identified as a target they really want.

But shh... don’t tell anyone about Denoyers' faceoff prowess. It's a very valuable skill that the Hawks desperately need, and he also has at least two-way scoring and defensive abilities to boot, plus that high-octane motor. He reeks of very good pro material.

I still think you can't pass on Schaefer or Misa, of course... but if we don't select in the top two, I would consider dropping down a few spots and grabbing Denoyers, plus a pick we could combine to move up with that Leafs pick we own.

Misa or Hagens is huge. Im a Misa guy right now but Hagens talent is insane and we just need more offensive talent.

I think anyone in the top 4 could be the best player this year if things go forward as they have been. So ideally we are worst or second worst at best. I don’t really care how painful it is to watch.

Top 4 pick without jumping up in the lottery to burn one of those matches would be ideal.

I don’t think there’s much separation between: SJS, ANH, CHI, MTL, BUF, and NSH. In theory Buffalo and Nashville should be much better but we’re about 40% through the season and they haven’t course-corrected yet.

If we trade off some vets at the deadline I can’t imagine getting more than 20 points in those last 20ish games either so we’ll just have to wait and see.

Arvid Soderblom giveth pick, Arvid Soderblom taketh away pick.

At this point I think you get Laurent Brossoit healthy playing for 10-15 games and deal him for some draft capital in 2028 or something.

Top 4 seem like locks of course but even 5 and 6 aren't the end of the world.

Frondell, McQueen? Either of those guys may turn out to be great.

Fwiw, Desnoyers is really slipping on most of the lists.

Before the last few weeks I would've considered picking outside the top 4 as a really bad outcome.

But since then I've fallen in love with Victor Eklund. And not for my own merits either, all the content creators love him and have him high up the lists, most as the clear 5th best, some even saying he could make it a 'top 5'.

He's a much more physical, motory, norths south version of his brother, but the same good skating, fantastic puck handling and dangerous skill.

He's short but he doesn't play short. I think he would be amazing next to Bedard, as a guy that's winning pucks and can be the perfect second banana on a line.

Misa is my preferred outcome, but Eklund has the same strength and a really high ceiling. If we end up picking him because our young team has improved a lot, I'll take it.

The rest of the guys I think are a tier below and I'd be more sad with those.

Hey! New poster here. Been a of the hawks and have followed them closely since 07ish. Reading the forums for a few years now. Watching the boys play under the new coach is night and day difference! Richardson looked like NJ in the 90s or something...lol. They're now flying through neutral zone with numbers making stuff happen.

I was hoping to get a high end forward this year in the draft but it's also very enjoyable watching the boys win. Can't have it both ways. I feel like game threads are really negative on players then ya'll get mad when we win because we're ruining the tank. Can't have it both ways haha. Anyways, feel like I'm on a fiddy rant. Hshskzbdbfirnansifnekqoanfne. 9.5. Barfy. Haha just joking fiddy, clean up your posts and you have some good stuff! Unlike musto. That guy is poison. Go hawks!
