Honestly Misa has a shot to go 1-1 in this draft. He has been that impressive. Being a center also gives him an edge over a guy like Martone for example. He's also bigger than Hagens which scouts love.

Hawks need Hagens-Misa.
I'm disappointed with Martone's overall game, so far. I thought he was more physical.

Drafting a premier forward will be nice. I feel like they have lots of solid defensive prospects w/ Allen, EDM, Korch, Lev. Depth down the middle seems to be a key piece that the Hawks could really use. The team struggles at the faceoff dot mightily and the slowwwwwww starts that they always seem to have can have the team behind the 8 ball quick. Winning more faceoffs should lead to more puck possession and less running around like chickens with their heads cut off.

IMO you can never go wrong having lots of solid centermen in your organization.

I really wanted Celebrini last year. This year I don't care, I like the players projected in the top5-7. I would even be very calm with a cerebral two-way center like Desnoyers

I'm a bit wary of Ryabkin at the moment. Unclear if his situation is just a kid trying to advocate for himself in a bad situation or if he's got a difficult personality, but whatever it is it seems to be bleeding into his production right now. And he isn't holy-shit dynamic like Demidov.

I’m still hoping we get #11 overall from Toronto in the McCabe/Lafferty trade…if not I want an unprotected lottery pick for the 2026 draft

That’s going to take a major injury to Matthews and soon for that to be a reality. Don’t see it happening.

Schaefer is sooo likeable but LD is just a no.
I would never say never, but yes we already have lot's of LHD we need to sort through. I suppose if someone absolutely loves Korchinski and traded a compareable forward prospect or you move multiple guys out of Allen, EDM, or Kaiser then investing high draft capital in a LHD MIGHT come back on the radar.

Lundell (if somehow Florida decides they prefer investing cap into Bennett), Kulich or Cozens, or Shane Wright might be interesting targets to see if you could use excess LHD to try getting a 20 something center prospect instead.

I'd be OK trading Korchinski for Shane Wright, but wouldn't do anything crazy to try and hunt for a comparable value player. Like Cozens is three years older than Korchinski. Not saying he isn't necessarily comparable value as he's got some good NHL production under his belt which Korchinski doesn't, but risk of ruin is much higher when trading for a 'likewise' but older player.

I don’t think it would be on the table but if it were I think at this point I’d trade Korchinski for Wright straight up.

Shane Wright is playing like a good 4th liner. At the moment that's all he is.

Also only 42.40% on the dot. And more turnovers than any other forward on his team.

He's currently ahead of Korchinski by a little, but if you're Chicago or Seattle you're hoping for more out of both of them.

If I’m trading Korchinski, it’s for Dylan Cozens or something similar. Shane Wright isn’t trending well.
You're not getting Cozens for Korch. Buffalo has no need for LHD.

If they're trading for Cozens, it would be around Nazar, Moore or Boisvert.

Martone on projected 78g +78 a pace. = 156 pts pace..

Misa on pace fo 82 g and 45 a =127 points oace.

Martone 6'3 207 Powrr winger withsniper shot+puckhandlingand can skate..

Misa supposedly a playmaker but seemscto be sniping a lot more than assisting this season.. and he is a speedster.
I just prefer Marton as the long term duo pairing on line1 for Bedard.

I would trade both1st rounders this year plus our 2026 first to move up for Martone if we pick only4th or 5th after lotto

Unless we get a top star big scoring wingers in free agency to complete Bedard as a dup threat on line1...

If we knew we get thatvi free agency then I eoukd go for Misa if we pick 3rd or 4th...If 4th maybe trade up 1 spit for our 2nd first rounder and a future 3rdcrounder.

But to get Martone at #1we would need a huge ransom to get him as described above.

Yes we need a 2C bit that complementary star winger with size, puckhandling and sniper finish is just too enticing not to try to acquire in a huge picks movebup. is the priority to unleash Bedard
