2025 NHL DRAFT Thread

I wonder if Micae Misa's poir playoff performance to date thru 4 games (Erie leads his Saginaw team 3-1) will change hisc#2cobsensus in the Fibal Ranking?

Misa has only 2g 1a on 4GP so far inthe series bit worse isxa -10...

Going back tonhos last 6GP I the regular season he was a -6....

So last 10GP he is a horrible -16...this from a player considered goidc2 ways who was a +45 for the entire regular season overall...

Makes you wonder if he is pjaying injured..got worn out?

Maybe the games got more physical as pkauoffs approached and up another notch in intensity in the playoffs...whatever...he and his line have gotten dominated it seems so far in playoffs..

So he faces elimination if Erie wins 1 more game in the series...if eliminated he would get a chance redeem a lousy playoff performance by joining Team Canada at the u-18 World Championships comng in a few weeks.
Ifvhevubderperfornsxtgere then his stock surely will fall if not already.

You want to see a prspect rise to the higher challenge of playoffs in a more intense environment ...not a player who sags under more
pressure ...

I just don't see Misa being an NHL Center. We already have a lot of those players that play center in u23 leagues, but don't play like centers; Boisvert, Moore, Bedard, Nazar (Nazar I can see being a longtime NHL center). His production in the regular season is impressive, but he makes some questionable passing plays.

from a team building perspective what combo are we better off with long term...Misa/McKenna or Schaefer/McKenna? guessing the latter

If Blackhawks ended up with the top pick , would Kyle D or should he entertain a trade ? Philadelphia has Oilers and Avalanche 1st rders along with their own and a few 2nd rders as well. A slide to 7th overall isnt ideal so that would really have to be sweetened .

I haven't seen Misa as much this year as last year, but I didn't really care for him much last year. I really needed to see more of him this year to get a real read on him and see what he has improved/not improved. But this playoff run isn't helping, last year it seemed like as the games got harder, he would disappear more. Not sure if thats true again this year, but it sure seems like it.

I am interested in how blackhawks fans can watch enough Saginaw Spirit to know if Misa is a longtime center or winger?

Are you watching BC and Steelhead games too?

Misa is still a top 2 pick for me regardless of what happens in these playoffs. Haggens is number 3 for me. Talking about Martone being over scouted, I think the same happened with Haggens. I think you'll see him return to College and dominate. IMO, still has a chance to be the best player in this draft. But wth do I know?

I've watched plenty of all 3 players and I think the most likely NHL center is Hagens. Although I still project all 3 to be wingers

If you can get what was the consensus 1 at 3rd overall that doesn't seem like the worst outcome but it seems like a hope for Schaefer type of draft if he's the clear BPA

Thats a lot of hockey to be watching.

Blackhawks Icehogs BC Spirit and Steelhead. Do you add in any other teams? Erie Otters?

Dang man, you are taking these comments too close to the heart. Sometimes too much hfboards can drive people nuts. I'm just putting the information I see on tape into a statement

go post on the hawks facebook page if you want people that don't watch hockey...the people that watch all these prospects is what makes this board interesting
Yea that would be great if he did but he doesnt. He just said that Korchinski is is awful in the AHL. Just calling it out.

I'll admit I've watched only 1 game of his in the AHL this season, but plenty of his games in the NHL. I really don't like the way Korchinski has played in my viewings. In the NHL so far, I've thought he looked really bad. I do recognize he's got a great breakout pass/vision, but everything else has looked horrid. The one AHL game I've seen of him he was bad there too and his team worst +/- of -17 backs what I've seen. I know this forum isn't too kind of having this kind of outlook on a player, so I do want to mention that I think he is still promising because he is so young. There is hope that this is just part of the development and he will be a really solid NHL player. Who knows, he might take the Dylan Stromish type career path

Of course it's Schaefer/McKenna. I personally hope the Hawks ARE NOT in position to draft McKenna because that means the roster took a big step in development.
short term pain for long term gain, they could still have a positive development year and be in the mix for McKenna, rather this team have a cup contender ceiling than just a mere playoff team that gets bounced every year because it lacks the depth of high end talent

Korchinski has like 90 games in the NHL, even if you've never seen him play in Rockford you've seen enough of him at the NHL level to have an opinion on how he projects

I hope we are....you can't have enough talent like that on your roster. I would love the have the most depth
up the middle ...we don't have that so I say Misa/McKenna.

but that wasnt the conversation.

It was saying that Korchinski was terrible in the AHL. It wasnt how Korchinski projects.
