Hey everyone,

I’m in a fantasy league and I’m always looking for the guys who are just a diamond that could get polished and turn into someone we look back on and say ‘Why didn’t they get picked sooner?!”. Who is that for you this year? Ideally 3rd rounders or later.

In no order

- Benjamin Rautiainen
- David Granberg
- Sean Barnhill
- Luke Mistelbacher
- Teydon Trembecky
- Bruno Idzan
- Sam Laurila
- Maxem Schafer
- Carlos Handel
- Matthew Gard
- Quinn Beauchesne
- Ethan Czata
- Emile Guite
- Jan Chovan
- Filip Ekberg
- Owen Griffin
- Tomas Pobezal
- Julius Sumpf

I love Dach from the BCHL heading to WHL than Penn State . He ripped up the BCHL 2 years running and has really high IQ and will not make it past 4 th round . I love whytenbach - sioux falls stampede , ripped up USHL before injury which is hard to do and just has a knack for scoring and will go 5-6 th round .

That’s a great list, I don’t know all the names. Do you have any standouts from this group? Main standout from the list I know is Sean. Barnhill, he’s a beast. Ekberg had a big U18s so I wonder if he’s on the rise. Gard is likely a 2nd/3rd rounder based on the rankings I have seen but no idea about his game. And Carlos Handel I followed early in the year as someone who could go in the mid rounders.

I forgot to post my standouts. Cooper Simpson caught my eye along with Semyon Frolov the goalie outta Russia. Love his play and posing is solid.

Hard to say right now without the actual draft results.
This isn’t actually about where they go in the draft, it’s guys we feel are being overlooked due to a standout flaw but still could overcome this and make it to the next level, there’s always a few that sneak through and blow up in their D+1 season that everyone is like woah how did we miss that guy

I’m intrigued and shocked I haven’t heard his name yet. I could see him going 4th or 5th just because of how raw his profile seems.

Oh i see.

In that case a few names i would suggest:

Owen Griffin
Nathan Quinn
Ryan Miller
Tommy Lafreniere
David Lewandowski
Travis Hayes
Tanner Lam

if this is purely for fantasy leagues, you should look at LJ mooney and mikkel eriksen -
guys that will go mid to late that have upside
Mooney should get drafted but I don’t see him anything more than an AHLer..

Eriksen could be something one day - definitely a project pick.

i like maddox labre from victoriaville. terrible team but he's intriguing for sure

Hadi K. From EP wrote about him in one of his articles. He’s definitely someone I’m targeting that I forgot about from earlier in the season viewings.

Owen Griffin and Tyler Hopkins will be big risers over the next 2 years. Neither I don’t think is predicted in top 2 rounds
3rd round likely.

Along with prospects like Kilfoil, Ekberg, Klingsell, Guite.

2025 draft is a pretty good draft to have picks in the first three rounds imo.
