I wonder if the Rangers might be interested in Eamon Powell, offensive RHD at BC who was the partner of Drew Fortescue at BC. He was drafted by Tampa Bay but didn't sign last year and stayed at BC for his fifth year. The Rangers need an offensive defenseman for Hartford and his buddies, Perrault and Fortescue, are in the system. Powell is on the small side but according to EP an aggressive defender. The last three years he has scored 22, 38 and 20 points in 36, 40 and 32 games respectively.

He attended Tampa's camp last season. I believe they knew he wasn't interested in signing until after this college season. There may be some interest there.

Signing a player isn't just about evaluating talent. Any given player of value is going to have numerous teams looking at him. The player will probably have his preferences too.
