HF Habs: 2025 NHL Draft: Part II

If you can look past his size....and you want a C.....Brendan Cootes has to be in the conversation for us. Can't imagine how solid this kid will be with 15-20 lbs more....He has so much going for him. The only downside is the height.
draft-age Suzuki size is not an issue (or, it shouldn't be)

After reading and listening and watching this is my wish list
Bear is my #1 but I'm afraid he will not be there so I've skipped him.

#16 : Cole Reschny (great IQ and vision you can't teach this and born in apr 2007)
#17 : Logan Hensler (safe pick here, 2-way again great IQ on D )
#41 : Ryker Lee or Vaclav Nestrasil or Daniil Prokhorov (hopefully one of these 3 are still available)
#49 : Mason West or Alexander Zharovsky

I can't.

I was on board for Zach Benson a while ago but he was better than all small centers in this draft and reminded me of Joe Sakic.

I'm all for taking the two best centers available assuming they're not in love with anyone

Unless a Bear falls, none of the RD that will be available are appealing for me there

Button has Spence and Zharovsky for us....shoot me now.

But seriously he had us taking Eiserman last year I think we're safe.

That wasn't a mock draft, those were his rankings

Right....Lindstrom...Iginla. Still won't have to shoot whitesnake :scool:

Can't find his 24 mock pretty sure it was Lindstrom?

Great read;

I do change a little bit my stance on BPA/Needs....but one thing is sure...if Cam Reid is one of our picks....we SURE will know that they took, who they think, is the BPA. Clearly not a need. It,s a really strange feeling as at the same time that it will not be thrilled with the pick....I might be really reassured at the same time knowing they didn't go needs....lol.

Yet...I believe there will be better options. Geez, at this point....should we trade down if we can't trade up? 17 for Hawks 25 and 34? 17 for 22 and 36 in Philly? 17 and 30 and 33 to San Jose?

Lee will probably be there at 41 anyways. NHL GMs aren’t exactly looking for slower, undersized wingers that play in the USHL.

I'd like to announce that no matter what happens....we will be dissapointed. I mean...this is the year to be dissapointed as the rankings are so f***ed up. The only we are not is if we move those 2 picks to get a much better one. And....we'd still probably be upset too...lol.
Since when you're so pessimistic? hahahaha

Try this exercices. When in doubt, remember we have Ivan Demidov. You're welcome

Just listened to Grant McCagg on TSN.
He said the rumor going around is Utah likes Aitcheson and would be willing to trade down.
Pittsburgh likes Martone and would trade 11 and 12 to Utah to draft him.

Or something like that.

According to PuckPedia calculator, pick 4 is worth picks 11 and 16.
Maybe Pitt could trade down from 12 before making that trade.
Just sayin'...
