I'd like to announce that no matter what happens....we will be dissapointed. I mean...this is the year to be dissapointed as the rankings are so f***ed up. The only we are not is if we move those 2 picks to get a much better one. And....we'd still probably be upset too...lol.

I think the only thing that won't upset us is if Bear falls to us.

But after that, it's going to be pockets of happy and unhappy fans. The draft is just that type of draft.

I'll be indifferent if it's someone I don't want all that much because I don't have anyone I am pounding the table for in this range.

Unlikely IMO. Philly was the other team that we know for sure is interested, and they've got picks at 22, 31, 36, and 40

Oh right, then this is impossible, plus seems like Brière type player.

I'd go with the Russian combo Prokhorov-Zharovsky at 16th & 17th, assuming no big steal falls.

Why? Because they are elite/unique at one thing at least. Holy f*** do I DON'T WANT a boring #4D.

Hard to be disappointed when you are picking 16th and 17th imo , Its some decent ammunition at least so something interesting could happen

Pick skills that are hard to trade for: Prokhorov = Size + willingness to go into dirty areas, Zharovsky = elite hands.

+ You start a Russian thing inside the team with Demidov, à la Detroit 1990s.

If this is a crapshoot then this is a crapshoot. Bet big.

I might be the only one, but i think Nesbitt still has a lot of room to improve and that he’ll end up a solid player down the road.

You’re not alone, he has been one of my favorite player to follow this year.

I think they take him at 17

Even if my MHL guys are there in the 2nd round, I would use the 1st rounder on someone else.

HP loves Ryker Lee!! Keep in mind, they had Matthew Knies WAY higher on their list than anyone else in 2021.

I really like Ryker Lee but not at 16/17; same with Nestrasil.

All I'm saying is nobody had Knies going in the 1st in 2021 but HP actually went out on a limb and ranked him earlier than the 16/17 slots. Just giving them some kudos for anyone who thinks they're out to lunch. In four years, a re-draft of this 2025 crapshoot will be hilarious to look at.

HP loves Ryker Lee!! Keep in mind, they had Matthew Knies WAY higher on their list than anyone else in 2021.

True. But as we always say, win some lose some. They had Kravtsov and Wahlstrom 6 and 7 in 2018 and had Quinn Hughes at 9. Had Krebs at 6 in 2019. Had Tristen Robbins at 13 in 2020...

Having said that, I like Ryker Lee too. Just think he'd be a superb high 2nd rounder...but....wouldn't be surprise to see him leave end of 1st too.

Apparently Basu/Godin have heard that they aren't that interested in him. So it cooled a rumor that was hanging around there that didn't make much sense.
