Time to bring your bone doctor to the draft.Wonder about Cootes. Is Dad 6’2 or 6’3?
Maybe Reschny will have a growth spurt.

I thought they gave it up cause otherwise, they’d have to sacrifice an unprotected 1st round pick in next year’s draft.I think Rangers giving up 12th pick says a bit about this years draft strength. Really hope Habs either trade or get some steals.

Yes. His profile remind me a lot of Shea Weber prior to his draft year.wouldn't be surprised if Bedkowski is gone in the 1st
oh sorry i meant BrzustewiczYes. His profile remind me a lot of Shea Weber prior to his draft year.
Would be fun to have a Protz-Bedkowski 3rd pairing to drive NHL fans crazyoh sorry i meant Brzustewicz, i always mix them up, Bedkowski i'm not so sure but he has an intriguing package
That would be awesome.Wheeler mock
16 Cameron Reid (not happening, Basu Godin threw cold water on this)
17 Carter Bear
41 William Moore
59 Matthew Gard
Swap Reid with Nesbitt or Hensler and it feels right.
Who do you have going to the Pens at 11, 12? McQueen & Smith?
It’s been well known that this year’s draft sucks long before today. And . . . McKenna.I think Rangers giving up 12th pick says a bit about this years draft strength. Really hope Habs either trade or get some steals.
This is the first year we’re seeing so many teams openly saying their top 10 picks can be had. After last year
KH will never show who he wants
Example Demi
YupThis is the first year we’re seeing so many teams openly saying their top 10 picks can be had.
Hughes has more assets he can use and multiple redundancies. The operative word is package — move up the draft as high as he can.

It’s going to hurt but he can always move some immediate help, in the form of any AHL player on the cusp or close to making the NHL team.Yeah but they want to move those picks for immediate help. They don't want two lesser picks in a draft that's bad.

If Reinbacher’s knee is a source of concern, move him. Or Mailloux.
If Hughes is moving an established NHLer then it needs to be for an NHLer at a position of need.
Hughes can always try to include a third team to make it work or do a set up trade as was done with Romanov.
I hope we really stay away from this player.
I was very clear when including Reinbacher, by adding the caveat if his knee remains a source of concern. Of course, a counterpart would do its due diligence but maybe the Habs’ tolerance for risk or their medical prognosis might be more strict than the medical assessments of a counterpart.Immediate help is a legitimate NHL player who is performing in a top 6 or top 4 role.
Plus Reinbacher is better than most prospects in this class, it wouldnt make any sense to do that. Nor would any team really do that without medical due diligence on the knee if it was a problem.
We aren't really moving up into the top 7 range where they'd need to be to get a potential 2C. Its rare enough those picks move. The ones on the block would move for guys who legitimately move the needle with a NHL track record of doing so.
Didn’t Toronto already do that?Honestly I don't know why we don't just write Barb Underhill a blank cheque to be on retainer for any prospects we draft with skating issues
Up until 2021 yeah, seems like she's no longer working with themDidn’t Toronto already do that?
Toronto really poisoned the well. They have a crappy narrative where GMs who are fighting for their careers trade first round picks they won’t be around to see flourish to show that they are serious about winning now. The Leafs made multiple trades for so so or good players where they ended up giving up much higher picks than they expected that became players that were career albatrosses for the GMs.It's probably this more than anything.
While it's also an indicator that they aren't in love with any prospect but it's too much of a gamble for them to give an unprotected first now
Love the RD pipeline getting filled with giants. I’m in for Amico and Barnhill all day everydayBased on Bob's rankings

I hope we really stay away from this player.
