He is a volume shooter but he has a great shot. Solid release. Shot's pretty heavy too. He gets to the net, gets to the slot & competes.
He has a bit of a young Evander Kane in him, although I'm not sure he can fight. He's got things to work on, but imo, he definitely has middle 6 upside.
Not a draft expert by any means, but this guy could be a good fit with our 2nd no? Especially if we keep all the picks

My only wishes for the lottery draft.
We see the logo of Calgary as the first card and that no Eastern conference team get the #1 or #2 pick.

I think that Martin, Bear, Cootes and Spence fit the mould of the players I'd be looking for with our two 1sts. I want high compete/gritty players that play a pretty round game with some skill. Martin is probably my favorite of the bunch and I'd be looking to trade up a few spots from the 16th to be sure we get him.
I do have doubts that we use both the 16th and 17th though. I have a strong feeling that we will be trading one of these picks in a package for a 2C.
If we do use both picks, I won't be too surprised if we throw an offer sheet out on July 1.

Habs aren't in the lottery and Calgary's pick is top 10 protected. So we don't want them winning the lottery.

Can't wait to see what management will do with picks #16 and #17. Still good players will be there. But that's great assets to make the team better aswell.
My gawd, NYI won the draft lottery! They moved from #10 to #1, and freaking Utah went from #14 to #4. Holy shit! Like they need another top prospect.
