Soo sound like we are going to draft 16 and 17. That's very good. We can put that in a package to up in draft or acquire a 2nd line C.

But if good prospects are available, we can draft. Caufield have been drafted 15, Guhle at 16. We can draft a pretty good player in that spot.

Its a very weak draft tho. At that range we'll probably get players with ceilings of 2nd/3rd liner

And for that same reasoning, I have a hard time seeing teams picking ahead of us willing to move back unless there's assets outside of this draft also included in said package

We said that for 2022 draft and they drafted Lane freaking Hutson at 62.

A player like Kashawn Aitcheson, Malcolm Spencer, Cole Reschny, Braeden Cootes, looks all very intriguing to me. Even Logan Hensler, not bad at all.

We never know in draft, I don't said that's a Lane Hutson in this draft, but 2022 looks no so bad after all.

We never know in draft, I don't said that's a Lane Hutson in this draft, but 2022 looks no so bad after all.

I remember doing my mock draft back then and having Hutson clearly in the 1st round ( I think I had him late teens/early 20s), so idk haha. I could be mistaken, there are a few guys in this draft who are very raw, but there's usually a reason why there's risk involved with them.

I still think getting Logan Hensler should be our priority #1. He is basically a right handed version of Guhle at 16 he would be great value. That being said I think he will be picked before our turn.

I don't think they're very similar.

Guhle kills plays at a very high level but cant handle the puck or make a pass. Hensler is more of a jack-of-all-trades with no real elite quality.

I think Hensler is elite at closing gap, puck retrieving and along the board and underrated physically, he can dish some nice hits. His game is easily transferable to the NHL. My only concern is his offensive upside but as a shutdown/top pair he is perfect for us. I could see him being very good with Lane Hutson. We need that on our team.

Agreed. He’s my top preference at 16, unless Mrtka or Bear are still on the board. Even then, I would still give Hensler serious consideration.

Hensler reminds me of Ryan McDonagh, except he’s a RHD.
