Tonight, Caleb Desnoyer and Justin Charboneau are going to be on RDS's Antichambre. Interesting to hear what both will have to say.

Media day for them

I'm counting it

I definitely feel like the talk of this draft being poor is being overdone. The top 8 of this draft are all interesting picks, and then the second tier until 20-22ish are all nice looking prospects as well. I'd love a bunch of those guys in our system, there's gonna be a bunch of very good players out of that group.

After that there's still some names I'd love to grab but it does become a bit more sketchy. Who cares though? Late first picks are always lotto tickets, nothing new there it's always the top of the draft that defines it and this one looks pretty damn good.

Caught an Armada game over the weekend and was lucky to see Justin Carbonneau play in person. Unfortunately, he didn't have the best of games vs Sherbrooke as it looked like he got taken off his game pretty early during a pretty chippy match up.

That said, he has an absolute rocket of a shot. Pretty impressive how fast and hard his shot is with seemingly minimal wind up. Safe to say, there aren't enough shooters with the Habs so he could be an option with their second 1st round pick.
How's his skating, edges?

I think many compare it to last draft. Last draft must been good draft to get Demidov at 5. Hage at 21, Dickinson at 11, Buium at 12. That's was good draft.

How's his skating, edges?

Wasn't the best game offensively for him imo. He was involved in a couple of scrums which can be a good thing I guess  That said, his skating seemed above average at the very least. I saw some scouting reports describe him as speedy with great edgework but this wasn't the game to see his full talent on display so I'll take their word for it. I read another report compare him to Drake Batherson which for mid to late 1st round pick would be an amazing get.

the top 10 is solid. Player like Misa are outproducing multiple OHl first overall pick (Stamkos, Hall, Tavares). This draft does a have a great top 5-10.

I just listened Caleb Desnoyers's interview on Rds with Alain Crête...

Jeez...this kid is special.....hard to explain but his interviews are awesome.

He is maybe the best center from Quebec since Patrice Bergeron.

Oh and btw at the question ...what impressed you the most at the Bell Center today:

Desnoyers's answer: St-Louis's legs...lol

will be out of our range unfortunately.

How soon do you all think Desnoyers will be picked?

Don't forget that there is always a depreciation applied to players from the Q.

How low do you think the Habs' pick will be before the lottery (I don't believe we would win the lottery)?

There are other players that will be worthwhile outside of Desnoyers at the rank which the Habs will be selecting a prospect.

Not all prospects that are good potential impact players will fall in the top-10. There are more good players than just 10 in this year's draft and there are always early out of left field picks that help good prospects fall down in the rankings...

Wherever we finish (short of making the playoffs and somehow reaching the final four), Montreal,s own pick will yield a good prospect. If CAL's pick is the 17th OA, even, that should also yield a good prospect.

Highest he could go is 5.

Lowest he could go is 10th but that'd be unlikely.

Anyone of them and I'm happy

Shaeffer Misa Martone Hagens Desnoyers Frondell or Mtrka outside of them I'm looking to trade the pick for help now

Or even pack our fists to move up
