HF Habs: 2025 NHL Draft: Part II

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

He’s my target. I would put together the most enticing package we can and submit the offer at the draft. Not saying it will be accepted but we have to try for it. Carter bear would be a great consolation prize but we’re also playing ourselves out of that as well. The top of the draft is good this year but after like the top 10 players there isn’t anyone that excites me as much as last year.

Bear, Lakovic, or Spence would all be very welcome additions

Who are the classic two-way guys? Forwards like Luchanko, Helenius, Kasper... with already a mature game and a good defensive acumen?

I like Brady Martin.

I’d like to see more than point-game production - but - he plays a complete game and loves to hit. A disruptor and he seems to enjoy being responsible.

Can dish out clean smacks that make the glass warble.

Heads-up on O, good vision and excellent shot.

Based on what I have seen Bear is a tier above the other two. Relentless worker with some very nice playmaking skills and exceptional puck handling. If he is out of the range we are picking I would want to move up.
I would give away both first to secure Bear

You watch Soo's last game against the Pete's? Pretty impressive. It was on Shaw. Shaw has shown last 5 or 6 Greyhound games actually

You have to choose a prospect (center) between:
Cole Reschny(5'10'')
Brady Martin(6'0'')
William Moore(6'2'')
Braeden Cootes(6'0'')
Who do you choose? And in what order do you rank them (best to worst)

Cootes, but Beck was probably better than him in his draft year, not to mention Kapanen who projects as a solid third line center as well. Ive 0 interest in these guys personally, I feel it would be wasted thrown darts, I would rather package some picks to move up or acquire a young roster player with size and physicality.

No one on his team is over PPG other than Mignosa. Greyhounds aren’t very good. It reflects on his points total. Watching him, though, the eye test is positive, I like him.
