I think Misa's performance this season pushes him into the no.1 pick discussion. I think if he stills produce that much through the season and playoffs and Habs won 1st pick, I agree we take him.

Really tempting needs wise I agree. I would still hesitate between him and Schaefer.

I think even excluding needs, Misa would be too tempting and if I had a gun to my head, I'd say he becomes the more valuable player down the line. I wouldn't complain getting Schaefer at all, though! He'd be my #2.

Schaefer being almost the youngest player in the draft is also crazy. That's what makes me hesitating even though Misa is having an insane season and is of course a big need.

Agreed, but Hughes seems to care more than most GMs about high quality people.

Desnoyers did nothing wrong and I'm sure Hughes would still love to pick him, but I assume someone like Lakovic is a No Draft for us because of his WHL off ice suspension

I've not seen what Lakovic was suspended for, if it was just underage drinking and there's been nothing since, I doubt that would land him on the DND list.

You have to take Schaefer.. but we would be better served getting one of the left shot centers in the class.

From what I’m seeing from Frondell, and It’s my take on his play tell me if i’m wrong but he’s not a play driver type center, he’s more of a guy who needs someone with him to carry the puck so he can be in position to shoot the puck, which is his main quality. Him and Eklund are clicking well because Eklund drives the play with his speed and forecheck.

Nah, he's definitely driving the play on that line. He's performing far better than Eklund.

Of course they do - Hutson, Guhle, Reinbacher. And they really don't need left defensemen.

I’m leaning Misa simply because a #1C has been a long-term need plus it resets the lines and makes it harder to shut the offense down. If we didn’t have Hutson then I believe Schaefer would be the pick.

It’s also insane to dangle Guhle if we draft Schaefer. We should be adding to the 3 good defenceman on the team, not taking away from it.

Well if Schaefer is as good on the right side, that would be perfect but we know that's not the case for Guhle and Hutson struggled alot on the right side for the small sample size we've seen. Playing 1 of the 3 on the right is not optimal and playing the 3 of them on the left side isn't either. All that while having a big holes at 2C and RHD.
