Lucas Peterson Green Bay leads all ushl dmen in scoring this year and is heading to Maine . NHL scouting had dmen Laurilo( stampede ) second round potential so i would take a shot on Peterson in 4-6 th round . He goes to Maine and lights up scouts look dumb not taking him .

francesco dell'elce

who else have people liked so far?
I’m a big Kam Hendrickson fan. All he does is win and outplay guys who get more chances than he does. Should’ve been drafted last year. Think he’ll make the US WJC team next year.

Don't wanna create a thread just yet but Ludvig Johnson scored another NL goal today, his 3rd of the season and his 2nd post WJC20.

Interestingly, Johnson is actually one of the kids Tony Ferrari is obsessed with. I think he had him ranked 56th pre WJC20 already. I know that Ferrari is definitely more of an out of the box thinker and some of his takes are rather hot but I do value his opinions and he's been right before. I don't think there's a world where Johnson goes in the 2nd round but if he can keep up his current level some teams might be tempted to pick him in the later rounds.

Gavin Garland, Tri City Americans, WHL

He's having a nice rookie season but he's 5'10 (albeit a stocky 5'10) and his skating is pretty choppy. I'd be a bit surprised to see him get drafted.

Best WHL overager by a mile is Bryce Pickford of Medicine Hat. Slightly undersized but a strong skater, physical, deadly joining the rush as the trailing man. Was promising at 16, had a godawful draft year on a bad team, but watching him now if someone had taken him in the 2nd round last year they'd be thrilled. Legitimate quality prospect who should go in the 2nd-3rd round.

Lots of older rookies in the WHL this year, partly due to the NCAA rule change. Brendan Dunphy is a 6'6 defender putting up a lot of ESP for Wenatchee. Alex Weiermair is a guy who was in the Smith/Leonard/Perreault NDTP group and then struggled at U. of Denver who is lighting it up in Portland. Asanali Sarkenov is a 6'4 kid from Kazakhstan who is a young 2006 and has a mean streak to go with some decent skills and looks like a projectable bottom-6 type.

Rasmus Svartström. 6'5 Finnish forward that just turned 19 a few months ago. He's got 25 goals in 32 games in the BCHL. Has a good shot and hands, and plays in the tough areas in the front of the net. Not a good skater. Not ranked anywhere, worth a 7th rounder at least.

Can anyone tell me more about these 2?

TIA!
