This makes me wonder:

Who is the most random, inconspicuous, insignificant Shark you can think of that left a significant negative impression on you. Not the obvious ultra-train-wreck guys. The ones where it's not immediately at the forefront of your mind that they were actually on the team, but once the memory clicks into place it just opens up the floodgates of bad vibes.

I'd say Adam Burish, but he fits the "train wreck" description.

I’ll add Ben Eager to underrated train wreck.

Perhaps a less popular one:

Niemi-Game 4 conference finals against the Canucks. Sharks outplaying the Canucks except for two 5 on 3s giving the Canucks life. A Sedin pass goes 5 hole in the back of the net. The team crumbles.

One of the LA series, he gives up a juicy rebound to Dustin Freakin’ Penner who puts it right back in the net. I think the Sharks won in OT, but I still remember this to this day.

He was great in game 3 of the reverse sweep year. Couldn’t he have stepped up to win one more game!!!

He could only step up against the Sharks.

Craig River for some reason.

Not that he's really on our radar, but Roger McQueen is nearing a return

I'm pissed I didn't get to see him when Brandon played the Giants.

Craig River for some reason.

I thought Rivet wasn't that bad?

Briefly pulling this thread back on topic:

Please, Sharks scout people, use a late round pick on Vancouver Giants goalie Burke Hood. He's like the 20th rated NA goalie or something, so probably an undrafted FA candidate, but he's really made significant improvements in the last half of this season since he was given the keys to be the full-time starter and he now routinely steals games or keeps the Giants in contests they have no business being in.

He's not worth a 3rd or 4th probably, but a 6th or 7th would be fine.

Ville Nieminen. Was supposed to be our Claude Lemieux, barely made the lineup.

For that matter, Claude Lemieux.

Back when DW was on his "we're one sandpapery bottom 6 pest away from the cup" which culminated in the tragedy of Raffi Torres.

Edit on topic: please God not McQueen.

If the Blackhawks trade away Seth Jones at the deadline that could make them a worse team than the sharks. So the sharks should trade a player of similar caliper to keep up in the tank race. ’Maybe Walman?

Not bad vibes, but Tomas Plihal has to be the most "nothing" shark I remember too well
