Yup, if you finish 1st (last) and win the lottery to stay at 1st then that isn't a win.

That is why we are still eligible for this draft and also the mckenna draft still.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but since CHI already won a lottery for 1OA pick, they can't win 1OA if they're not last place. So let's say we get the worst record and CHI 2nd worst, if CHI win the first draw, they would redraw until another team wins? If that's the case, our chances of getting 1OA would be even higher if Chicago isn't the worst team.

If above scenario is true, it's even more important that CHI isn't getting that last place.

I'm never quite sure what to think about Bruzstewicz, and I've seen a lot of him. Decent at everything, great at nothing. Shocked to see him over Mrtka and Fiddler, to be honest.

Hensler doesn't make the 24-guy "first round" grade. Wonder where he falls.

I'm similarly unsure how to feel about Desnoyers. I've only ever seen him play internationally and at the NTDP-CHL top prospects game because I can't bring myself to watch the QMJHL, but I truly do not see the scoring upside that Pronman must be seeing.

He's been #1 on virtually every list that's come out and by a lot. It's not Celebrini vs. the field at this point, but I think people need to stop hoping that some team like Chicago is going to pass on what appears to be the clear best player in the class. If you want him, you have to get the first pick.

It was well before the lottery. I think if I remember it was before the season ended when the Sharks went on a small run before losing to end the season.

I genuinely can't remember anymore. Should we just call it after the trade deadline and change it then?

Also don't remind me of that Hawks game. I was watching on the edge of my seat with my heart in my throat when that piece of shit missed the breakaway chance. I've never been so mad about a hockey game that wasn't a Sharks' playoff game.

Sorry, I'm just extremely superstitious. I know my rhyming sucked and many have asked to re-name it. I just want to repeat the magic from last year where @Juxtaposer renamed before the lottery and we won the #1 pick. Also, I will repeat a promise from last year -- If Sharks don't win #1 pick, this is the last draft thread I am starting. G-d help us get our 1D...
