No surprise there. They were aiming for that. If PA ultimately accepts they need to get real concessions. Be it no tags, no 5th year options, extra bye week, expanded rosters, including game day ones. Aim for a greater % of the nfl revenues.

Basically if they add the extra game it means they have an option to play a third full division. Currently it’s home and home in division for 6 games. NFC and afc division for 8 games. That’s 14. Final 3 are seeded matches based on prior year standings.
Or they can opt to play all 4 remaining games against 1 extra division instead.

NFL owners OK kickoff, replay, OT rule changes

NFL owners approved a variety of rule changes Tuesday, including a modification of the dynamic kickoff that will place the ball after touchbacks at the 35-yard line and a tweak to the regular-season overtime period to mirror postseason rules.

On the surface I thought moving touchbacks to the 35 would result in more receiving teams taking touchbacks, but I guess they're saying kicking teams will be incentivized to avoid kicking into the end zone.
