NFL GDT: 2025 NFL DRAFT Thread

Why does the DC have the number of an QB prospect? Any number these coaches have is only for work. To leave the ID unprotected is bad. But also, so is not parenting your kid to respect other people.

Owner, GM, HC need to get together and fire this guy with cause.
He's absolutely dead in the water if the allegations are true, and he won't get any serious job in the NFL ever again.

Shedeur wasn't the only one to receive a prank call

NFL must mandate better security or limit which people in a team can have the number if they don't get this locked down. If a fan or someone gets a player's number, that isn't on the NFL. But, for the son of a DC to get it and make the prank call? Fireable.

Honestly, we're lucky it was just a prank call for clicks and not a legitimate threat to anyone's personal safety or something like that or there could be legal implications.

A job will rightfully be terminated because of this. OPSEC is real, people.

Apparently, no action likely from ATL:

Honestly, for the dad, he deserves to be fired. Was entrusted with info only the team should have and didn't secure it well enough. That info should only have been accessible from a team device (MS Surface) which is ID locked when not in use.

Plus, the kid needs to see a significant impact of his actions and getting his dad fired should be that penalty.

So just as a guy who lives in Vegas, how good are we expecting this Jeanty guy to be?
Rbs need OL and a good enough pass game to limit the number of defenders in the box.

He's a do it all back. I hesitate to use the hof rb comps he has been comp'd to.

Eh the kid who made the prank call is obviously out of line and an idiot, but if you think this will stand in the way of his dad's career - if he is any good at what he does - you're wrong. The NFL forgives much worse than boomer computer etiquette.

Also Ulbrich was like a decade in the NFL as a player and 15 years as a coach now. That dude is part of the NFL job network for sure and probably better-liked by many than anyone from the Sanders clan.

it's more about ulbrich failing to keep that info secret more than his kid behaving like young men tend to behave at his age. if he can't keep these guys' phone numbers secret, what other important information might he be failing to protect as well?

He did damage to the Atl falcons as an organization that can’t handle their business like professionals.

If the Falcons don't fire him then they apparently don't place any value on confidentiality, meaning they are potentially an unsafe organization to work for.

You can't tolerate breaches like this.
One thing to laugh about from this is the kid also killed any hopes he had of riding the NFL nepotism train. He's not getting a job in the football world now.
Forget football world, this kid f***ed up in a lot of ways.

Good. Actions have consequences. Social media pukes like him deserve zero sympathy.

Is it from the same person?
What is the option for the nfl? Do they have to organize and send out phones to the top 40-50 prospects? And then the teams once they are on the clock can contact the league for their number?
If the players are using their personal phones you just never known if a contact might have somehow given it out or something.

You'd have to be mad to give out your personal number for this shit.

Shedeur wasn't using his personal phone, he got a phone just for the draft

I love Kiper trying to keep himself relevant. Goes on a monster rant basically saying he's always right and the 32 NFL GM's and hundreds of scouts are wrong.
