NFL GDT: 2025 NFL DRAFT Thread

Chargers signed DJ Uiagalelei

Vikings sign Silas Bolden

Watching out for ex-Beavs.

Eh, Manziel's running was pretty special

Evans was a huge part of that, though, no discounting his help in the passing game
Manziel also had a great arm making amazing throws. He was a tremendous athlete.

He was also an alcoholic and a head case who pissed away whatever talent he had enjoying his fame way too much.

The Atlanta Falcons didn’t add a shiny jewel to their offense during the 2025 NFL draft, but they signed college football’s triple crown winner immediately after.

The 6'2 1/2", 203-pound Nash led the FBS with 104 catches for 1,382 yards and 16 touchdowns in 2024. After starting his college career as a quarterback, Nash transitioned to receiver late in the 2021 season, and after three years of focusing on playing receiver, he turned into a consensus All-American.

Now that the drama is over, it's time to perform.

1 - Ten - Ward - is expected to get the job over Levis. But, won't be handed to him.
1 - NYG - Dart - has to perform well in camp to earn QB2 or will end up QB3 for half the season most likely
2 - NO - Shough - unknown status of Carr, puts him closer to starting than Dart.
3 - SEA - Monroe - QB3, he's too raw to be ahead of either Howell/Locke at this point
3 - Cle - Gabriel - major battle with Sanders at camp to stay on the 53 man roster
5 - Cel - Sanders - battle with Gabriel for a roster spot
6 - Phi - McCord - probably QB3 behind McKee
6 - Pitt - Howard - not the best NFL talent ahead of him. Needs to seize the chance if it opens up.
6 - Ind - Leonard - Monster year for Richardson as it determines 5th year. QB3 most likely
6 - Hou - Mertz - QB3 behind Stroud and Mills.
6 - LV - Mellott - converting to WR from all indications
6 - LV - Miller - QB3 behind AOC. Likely PS
7 - SF - Rourke - QB3 if he impresses in camp or PS
7 - Mia - Ewers - QB3 behind Tua and Z.Wilson.

Doesn't matter where you were drafted. All about performing. Though, being picked in rd 1 gets you more opportunities to start as the team wants to show it wasn't wrong picking you high. Leash is shorter for day 3 picks.
I do wonder if Clev didn't double back for QB where Sanders would have landed? Possibly 20 picks later to Pitt?

Raiders added DE Jah Joyner and CB Mello Dotson as UDFA's. I was expecting both to get drafted so nice additions even if they're likely to end up on the practice squad.

Was surprised they drafted Cam Miller ahead or Rourke and Ewers. Would love to hear @Big McLargehuge thoughts on Miller as well as Montana State QB Tommy Mellott although he's changing to WR apparently.

Miller will end up on the PS imo. Most 6-7th rounders do. Mellot ran for over 3,500 yards in college as a QB, so he's making the switch to WR, though it's going to take him time to adjust.

14 QBs got drafted. 1 getting converted to WR. Of the 32 QBS who started last season, depending on how you call the Pitt and ATL QB situations, it could have been as low as 7 or up to 9 non 1st round starters in the NFL last season.

Time will tell which or any of these other 12 ends up being a start down the line.

Ohhh Ohhhhhhhh

Apparently the Falcons Defensive coordinator is where Shadeur’s phone number was leaked

And the NFL is PISSED
It was his son that did the prank

ulbricht or whatever his name is.

Rappaport saying the NFL is going heavy at this investigation as the draft has become such a huge earner for them.

nFL fronts the cost of all these film crews and equipment rentals for these setups to catch the moment

So son might have just cost his dad his job…. But why also is dad not keeping that number private? Kid has access to his dad’s PIN? But still, no respect to the father even if the kid has the PIN in case of emergencies.

That kid should get the taste slapped out of his mouth. Spoiled little punk might've just got his Dad fired but it probably helps with his aspirations of being a YouTube star.

A kid like that won't care until the money train is taken away. He doesn't care about his father.

However, his father apparently has the OPSEC awareness of a tree stump.
Why does the DC have the number of an QB prospect? Any number these coaches have is only for work. To leave the ID unprotected is bad. But also, so is not parenting your kid to respect other people.

Owner, GM, HC need to get together and fire this guy with cause.
