NFL GDT: 2025 NFL DRAFT Thread

I imagine more than anything it’s the fear of the helicopter dad who has serious media clout. Not hard to see why that’s an unappealing combo to most teams.
People are blaming his dad for him not getting picked now which is hilarious. His dad is the only reason anyone talked him up as 1st round pick. His behavior in (at least some) interviews is why he wasn’t a mid-round pick.

He will get picked at some point because it will be worth it for some team at some point just for the attention he’ll garner. Probably the most jerseys sold all time for a QB3.

Good players with off the field issues get picked high all the time, but you can’t have questionable talent AND off the field issues.

sanders at 123 or 156 to pitt im guessing?
If not Pitt, LV has a late 4th in the comp; pick range, plus 3 picks in Rd 6. early 6th and 2 comp picks.

If not these 2 clubs, not sure which other clubs would be interested. Ten, NYG, NO, SEA, Clev have drafted a QB.

McCord on the board, as is Howard. That's who he is in competition with now.

I get this a joke, but CFL draft is next week, April 29. However CFL draft is for Canadians only. Americans are first come first serve. And if arm strength is his question mark, we'll he wouldn't thrive in a league with a field that's 10% longer and 30% wider (you need a cannon in CFL to hit the wide side passes, it's a LOONG way outside lol).
I was waiting for somebody to point this out.

If your arm isn't strong enough for the NFL, you're probably screwed at the CFL level too.

the Arena Football League beckons.

Wonder what’s going on with Dylan Sampson. He’s a RB I like a lot but didn’t expect he’d be around in the 4th.

The Volunteers offense is SUPER weird. He has multiple plays this season where he lines up against a 4 man box.

Box. Not front.

He also didn't really run wide zone at all, so his vision there is a big question mark.

Add in that he's probably not a 3 down back because of his size.

That being said, I'd take him on the Bears for sure. He can run inside the tackles.

Shedeur seems to have thought the NFL draft was like college recruiting in the NIL world. Unless you are elite, it's more about whether you fit the team, rather than the team selling them as a fit for you.

The power has switched once you go from college to pro as a player. Teams hold the cards, not the player.

Totally get the fake offense that Tennessee runs being a concern. Just think a guy with his athleticism and big play ability is worth shot a bit earlier.

I think they wanted people there who thought they would be drafted yesterday. Good for him for sticking it out.
Yeah I'm impressed with that too. Plus attitude for me, knowing little else about him.

Arian Smith got selected by the Jets? Okay. Good for him. He needs to work his on his hand-eye coordination a little bit more...

My happiest moments as a Georgia fan:

1. The Roquan tackle on the Boot against ND where he proved people can teleport
2. Jake Fromm f***ing off
3. Arian Smith f***ing off
4. I guess the Natties.

I’m finally free.
