NFL GDT: 2025 NFL DRAFT Thread

This draft is essentially:

Elite tier:
Carter, Hunter, Jeanty

Next tier:
Graham, Campbell, Membou, Walker, Warren

(Ward - simply because he's a QB. Probably is QB6 at best last year)

And then everyone else from like 10 to 60 is about the same.
Pretty much. NO WR is worth a top 10 pick.

Johnson is probably in that next tier with those guys. Wasn't at 100% in 2025, but could be like Stingley and return to form once he does in the NFL.

So, if you are NE and Jax, who do you take at 4 and 5? Most talented player is Jeanty. NE has a young QB whom Jeanty could take a lot of pressure off of. Jax, with Etienne, shows how quickly a RB falls. Done that with Fournette as well. If someone wants to flip with them to take Jeanty I think both clubs listen. Not going to cost a 1, 2, and 3 like Hou paid to AZ to move up for Anderson. A swap, plus a 2 and maybe a 3 in 2026 gets it done depending on how far back we are talking.

I'm hoping one team gets desperate and wants pick #32 to end the night for a guy that fell, and Howie asks for their 2026 1st. Just believe next year's draft will be much better

Eagles need help on their roster this season. Can’t just wait a year. DL depth was decimated with free agency and Graham retirement.

Being reported that the Saints at 9 are the floor for Dart. That seems insane to me.

Some strong rumblings that Jihaad Campbell's injury is less "he's progressing better than expected" and more "... oh shit. He's probably off the board for some teams."

I'll believe it when I see it.

There's word on the streets that none of Shedeur Sanders' teammates came to his birthday.
Every year, I send out my Madden playbook to the top 15 or so QBs on a combined Big Board. But what I also do is that I tape a tasteful picture of myself to the last page (attached). Then when I talk to the QBs, a few of them, really studious types, the Bo Nix kind, guy you'd want to date your daughter, always mention the picture and laugh about it.

More of them don't mention it, then get embarrassed when I do, because they clearly didn't read through the playbook.

Shedeur Sanders didn't mention the picture. Then when I brought it up, he pretended he had seen it. He lied about reading the playbook, trojansoilers. And then when confronted with the truth, he lied again.

By the way, in all this time I've done this, only one guy has ever mailed me back the picture with a compliment of my accentuated glutes. Wanna know who that guy was?

Derek Carr.

pardon me?
In fairness it was one report from a CBS reporter, not any of the big Insiders. I also kinda can’t believe it. Trading back into the late first is one thing. Top 10 Jaxon Dart is bananas.

I wouldn't say Jalon Walker is in that second tier anymore so than Kelvin Banks, Tet McMillan and Will Johnson.

been funny to watch the media trying their hardest to pump up Shedeur for months as a top 5 pick, and as the hours get closer to the draft he is looking like he could fall out of the first round

I think a team comes up for him at the end of Rd 1. Especially, if the plan is to sit him as a rookie. Want the 5th year option in your back pocket just in case you need that extra year to evaluate him. Especially, if you opt to sit him for 2 seasons.

The Browns are a good fit for that, especially if they take Hunter at 2.

Everybody trying to trade out of the the first because the draft is straight ass lmao.

I can 100% buy somebody reaching hard on Dart because it's simple math. Shadeur's stock has crashed hard in the last few days even which will scare teams off. This will prevent teams from making that stupid decision but it will not prevent them from making a stupid decision.

In a class of weak QBs a a bunch of teams needing some sort of solution there, when one guy's stock tanks, the other rises. And that's how you get Jaxson Dart in the top 10.
