Ravens re-signed Stanley. Chiefs were going to sign him and traded Thuney in large part to make that possible.

Likely a very long off season ahead as the already bad OL for the Chiefs is likely to get worse, and they are probably losing two of their top 3 defenders.
 


I don't think Fields is that bad. Steelers fans want to divorce themselves asap from Fields and Wilson. If anything Wilson should be the first to go. Why are we propping up late 30 washed up players.
 
Chiefs signing a backup tackle who has never had even 300 snaps in a season to 2 year, $21M guaranteed ($30M total) smells like desperation.

Well, it's a thin OT free agent class. Plus, the draft isn't deep like 2024 was for OT. KC, got their speed WR in Worthy in '24 and then went OT in rd 2, who didn't perform. Options are slim at this point.

I mean, you could sign a former OT in Becton to return to OT from his OG spot with Philly. But, he might just be a better OG at this point vs return to OT.

But, darn, that is a lot of money to hand out and hope for their 2 OT.

Patriots have been quiet so far, considering their cap space is roughly equivalent to the GDP of a medium sized European country.

Absolutely slim pickins in the draft and FA. I'd make the argument that it all stems from the Taylor signing. Huge contract for their LT of the future, who as it turned out could absolutely not play LT, and hasn't been a very good RT. Left them scrambling for a new LT, where their picks haven't worked out, and it also left them with a line that was too expensive to keep intact.

They had Orlando Brown Jr. and let him go to Cincy. In a deep OT draft in '24 opted to go WR over getting one of the more higher rated OT. (But, I didn't follow many who got drafted after Fuaga by NO).

Paid Taylor and nothing they can do about him as his 2025 salary is guaranteed.

OL around the NFL and college is tough sledding. Spread offence in college so guys are not asked to hold blocks for very long. NFL, fewer padded practices. And only a handful of great OL coaches.

Officially, free agency has not begun yet. Guys who got cut can be signed. Which IMO seems silly as there are some with a post June 1 designation, so why should they be able to sign now. All players, be they cut or just play out their contracts, should be available to sign on the same day.

Cowboys are letting their best safety leave to Jacksonville in free agency. Jourdan Lewis signs for three years.

The Cowboys freed up a bunch of cap space and appear to not be doing anything with it again.
