so the 2nd team cars for RB are better than the 1st teams 2nd car LOL wonder if max has a clause in his contract about that
I know it's primarily F1 talk here but, we have kid from South Jersey that races all over the southeast in pavement modifieds and dirt modifieds and wins at legendary short tracks in the Carolinas. Last night he won at the grand old bullring Hickory Motorspeedway. His name is Paulie Hartwig III. He's all of 14 years old and looks every part of it. He's deffenilty on Nascar's radar and last night he beat Tommy Baldwin Jr's son on the final lap with a well executed "bump and run". It's been fun to follow. The dad is real a piece of work looking like a cartoon real life Peter Griffin but, with a fantastic mullet. Alright enjoy the rest of the F1 race this am.
Oh yeah. It's common for kids as young as 11 to be in a 4 cylinder stockcar.I guess it’s legal to drive at 14 in a racing car?
Finally got a bunch of overtakes! Piastri is so composed.Tremendous race by Piastri today. If it hadn’t been for the safety car he may have won by over 30 seconds. At least there was some drama in the race from the rest fo the field.
I hope he either goes to Aston to reunite with Newey or Merc signs him, though Russel has been incredibly consistent and high performing under the radar.Verstappen could not get the car to respond. It was sort of sad to see him struggle. I think the races are more exciting when he’s in the mix.
Russell has been great as has Antonelli for his age. I'm really impressed with how Mercedes has done this season. Russell seems less uptight than some of the big name drivers too which makes him easy to cheer for.I hope he either goes to Aston to reunite with Newey or Merc signs him, though Russel has been incredibly consistent and high performing under the radar.
Where is that GP in Bama? Asking for a friend. No I'm not, I'm asking for me since I could go with my middle son.Bahrain was ok
Bristol was an absolute snoozer, woof….
Good racing at the GP of Long Beach for IndyCar though. Lots of great battles and strategies. Zero power steering at that circuit is always a blast to watch. The drivers were manhandling those beasts all race.
The Month of May is up next for IndyCar!
GP of Alabama on 5/3
Indianapolis GP on 5/10
Then Indy 500 Practice and Qualifying for two weeks which is incredible. Then the 500 on 5/25. The best month of the year!!
Yea he’s taken more of a leadership role as the senior driver now and I do find myself liking him more.Russell has been great as has Antonelli for his age. Hopefully Ferrari can figure out their car and get back to challenging. If things stay the way they are right now it's going to be a dominant season for the two McLaren guys with Russell as the only real challenger. Yesterday was the first time I've ever seen Verstappen drive in a way that I considered him accepting defeat. And the Ferraris with the desperate tire gambits shows they are behind right now.Yea he’s taken more of a leadership role as the senior driver now and I do find myself liking him more.
Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham. One of the most beautiful tracks in the country which is owned by a Philanthropist. He does constant repaves to keep the track looking fresh and the landscape around the facility is gorgeous with some interesting sights as well.Where is that GP in Bama? Asking for a friend. Fun Fact: she fell last year
The track was actually designed for Moto GP but IndyCar puts on great racing there.
