2025 MMA General Discussion and Fight Announcements

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

Jalin Turner pretty much admitting Kerry Hatley making him kill Bobby Green and the resulting blowback he got from it took away his love for what he did (also explains why he didn’t follow up on Moicano).

I don’t blame him, only a sociopath would be able to punch an unconscious guy 15 times and not be bothered by it

Reminds me of Urijah Hall almost murdering that kid on TUF then never really looking the same or throwing that technique again.

Good on Turner for having that awareness because a lot of guys put their body and brain in harms way doing stuff that their heart isn't in. Mature decision to retire.

100%

I honestly thought he won both split decisions he lost too (against hooker and Gamrot). People don’t realize how close to a title fight he could have been. He clearly isn’t in it mentally anymore and I’m glad he checked out before he got himself really hurt. Seems like a really good dude.

Probably doesn't help that Green got ktfo again on the same card as his final fight. Respect to Turner though, it's nice to see someone go out a little early vs late.

Looks like he’ll serve about 1-1.5 more years overall after being credited with time served

Overall he’s quite fortunate with this sentence- prosecutor wanted 30 but I think the judge was sympathetic (and who with a soul wouldn’t be)

Can't condone the shooting rampage, but if the dude is found guilty I'd have no qualms about having them share a cell for at least a little while.

Feel like it has been an underwhelming year so far.

Also really hate how Aspinall is having to sit out for so long because of Jones. If it wasn't for Jones holding up the division Aspinall would be far more active. But I don't blame him for waiting for his title shot. No point going out defending the interim title. Ludicrous he had to do it once.

HW is also terrible with no intriguing matchups besides Jones vs Aspinall, so the ball is fully in the champ's court. Hopefully Aspinall puts him away for good and we can get some life back into the division.

Tom has defended the belt already and the sad thing is that Jon has fought since Aspinall won the interim belt... He just refused to fight the interim champ, instead he fought a 3+ year retired 40 year old coming off of a loss, who only had 2 opponents since 2017 (7 years).

The HW division finally had some legs to it with Aspinall but the UFC allowed Jon to destroy all of its momentum.

The UFC should’ve never booked Tom and Pavlovich for the interim belt

Why? So the UFC can continue to appease Jones?

They should have never booked Stipe vs. Jones.

People were calling that fight an utter joke years before it actually happened.

Couldn't have said it better myself.
