2025 MLB Regular Season Thread: the Baseballening

@MMC did you see the angels being this good again this quickly
Any time they have a healthy Trout, they are competitive. They boosted their pitching staff nicely and trimmed a lot of dead weight off of it, this past offseason. So it's not a huge surprise, but nice to see them get off to a good start and not lose Trout for the year in the first two weeks of the season again.

I'll be curious to see where the Yankees are at the end of the year. I think Yankee fans already know that this is a season that could be bad.

Red Sox could be for real...I'm not sold on them yet, but they've looked the part so far.

If the Orioles get any pitching they will compete for the Division. Their lineup, once Henderson gets back into game shape, is just too hard to keep down.

And it will be interesting to see how Toronto goes, now that Vladdy is signed long-term. That's been a cloud over that franchise for the last two years. With a healthy Bichette, they could win a few more games than last year.

AL East is a blood bath. I do see TB as on a lower rung than the others but they always manage to be competitive.

Don't think Toronto has the depth to compete with the other 3 but the rotation and bullpen have good arms and if they're top 4-5 bats are productive they can hang around.

If Vladdy, Bo, Santander, Kirk, Springer are the 'good versions' of themselves then there's a chance. Gimenez has been great so far as well. Maybe just a hot start but even him just providing excellent defense is a help.

I'm looking forward to when the weather gets warmer and these players don't look like they are freezing their tails off. I'm watching these games and seeing the ski masks, gerders, and all that and it just looks so cold. Yet I'm here in the Bay Area where it actually does feel like spring (We have had quite a bit of rain last week and the week before). I hope everyone in the midwest and east manages through this cold and strange weather ok.

Is it possible for Pittsburgh to go a couple days without a PR disaster?

I say screw the fans on this one, boo hoo the brick with my dead grandmas name on it is gone, you should be more embarrassed that you "honored" your loved one by paying for a brick with their name on it in front of a stadium that houses maybe the worst pro sports franchise in North America, but only maybe, because the Browns still exist
