US win 4-1

Canada just needs to stop with the dumb penalties. They give up 2 pp goals to Latvia, and 3 to the US tonight. Otherwise not counting the US's empty net goal with the goalie pulled, nobody has scored on them in 4 games even strength (plus OT vs Latvia).

Canada's strategy is like: to play a safe game, let's keep putting the puck in the most dangerous part of the ice for turnovers.

If you miss an east-west pass down low, they've still got to go the length of the ice.

Gauthier out on the pk with 1:30 left to try to preserve the tie. Gets a big block, but Czechia gets the goal. Tough end for Canada this tournament (if this is it)

Canada is an interesting case. The coach, Dave Cameron, has coaching experience coaching Canada's national junior team, and was the CHL's coach of the year in 22-23.

Yet there seems to be a lot of justified criticism directed towards him.

(ignore the whinging about refs in that last video)
