I hate to say this.. but the reason I make the comment is that at the NHL level you can't be that unaware. You just cant..

He's supposed to be a #1OA pick?

It gives me concern, I'd be going back and looking harder at his awareness in certain situations.

Tunnel vision isn't what you want in your #1D, and at the NHL level he'll end up on IR more than helping you win games.

Just based on that, and with nothing else I'd avoid him at #1. Could be a fluke instance, but I would make sure.

Draft year, dumb assery, and Darwin got his ass. It does not add up to the intelligence needed for a #1D in the NHL.

If you fkn Darwin yourself in your draft year at the WJC, and there is even remotely signs of more of that. I'm passing.

Ritchie is really just kind of there for Canada so far since the exhibition games. Was hoping he'd have more of an impact.

It just means team Canada is not deep as they used to be. It’s such a drop off to go from McDavid, Bedard etc…which Canada used to have as their 1C to Ritchie
