Bregman is obviously fading, but he should get Devers off third, provide leadership, and balance the lineup. I still prefer other options maybe even Profar .

It's going to be a minimum five year deal for Bregman.

I don't want to make that kind of commitment to someone who's already showing signs of decline.

From the reporting Torres will play 2B and has never played 3B in the bigs, but I also don’t see them as a particularly likely landing spot for Bregman in any event.

If they are so intent on staying under or just over the luxury tax line, they aren't not signing Burnes even though adding him to the rest of that staff would easily put them in the top 3 in the league.
