If Kuechly and Smith wore Steeler or Packer jerseys they would be in. It’s crazy Smith keeps getting snubbed.

It's not that crazy because Holt and Wayne keep getting snubbed too. They should all be in but I don't see Smith getting in before the other two.

Why? Smith has more career receiving yards, a triple crown, and played with far worse quarterbacks. Wayne played with prime Payton Manning.

Smith is incredibly underrated for the single fact he played in Carolina and not a legacy team.

Holt and Wayne (and next year Fitzgerald) all have to go in before Smith.

I would have put one or both of Wayne/Holt in over Eric Allen and Sharpe this year. Or you take one and Kuechly. I'm pretty sure there was room to elect at least one more guy but I guess none of Wayne/Holt/Smith/Kuechly got the 80% needed in that room.

Why? Fitzgerald makes sense but Smith was a better player than both Holt and Wayne. The fact that it’s a contrarian opinion is exactly why Smith is so underrated.

Smith is more of a Panthers HOF level guy.
He collected his stats, but was never really considered top5 active at his position when he played.
