2025 HHoF: Who would you vote for?

Chara
Keith
Thornton
Price

I'd be hard-pressed to find an argument for anyone else over any of these guys, although I do believe Zetterberg, Mogilny, and Getzlaf should likely get in at some point. This is just a particularly strong year and a particularly easy class to pick.

Especially for Getzlaf, who probably gets in on the first year about two years out of three.

I said Chara, Mogilny and Tkachuk.

Chara is a no-brainer.

Mogilny's stats were hampered some by injury, but more than 1000 points, better than ppg, and what would have been 500 goals if not for time missed is a hall of fame career imo. He was a dynamic offensive player in the early part of his career and became a more well-rounded player later on. Come up in 20 years since he retired. Long overdue imo.

Tkachuk scored more than 500 goals and 1000 points. He was a preeminent power forward. The numbers fall off after 30, but I think the work done before that warrant entry.

Price, Rinne, and others deserve entry, but they can wait a year.

To avoid being a homer I won't bring up Price's accolades but to not include Duncan Keith is insane. 2 Norris trophies, 3 cups, a Conn Smythe, and 2 Olympic Golds. There is literally no argument against him being first ballot.

Calm down. I'm not saying he isn't deserving. Of course he is. I simply chose three, and two of them are overdue imo. If I were to pick 4, which is the max allowed in a year, he's an obvious choice.

Pretty sure Thornton has the most point out of anyone not in the hall (retired)

Sure no cups but lots of international wins to go along with individual accolades.
I believe Joe was 12th all-time in the points list when he retired. And I also add in the in the international success he's shared as well.

Thornton
Chara
Keith
Elias
Alright I said I wouldn't be a homer with regards to Price but let's do it.

Keep in mind this isn't just NHL HOF but HOCKEY HOF.

The first four are overwhelming choices in this group.

HFBoards makes me sound like a hater, but once again I cannot see any argument whatsoever for Mogilny over Thornton, Chara, Keith, or Price.

Price is one of my all time favourite goalies. It was hard not to vote for him. But I picked Mogilny over him just because I would vote for him every year, if I actually got a vote, until he rightfully gets in.

Thornton, Chara, Keith are all essentially automatic.

Price pretty much won everything a goalie can Win, aside of the Calder, the Conn Smythe and a Stanley Cup.

Everything else, Price has won it at some point
