2025 Hfboards NFL Mock DRAFT Discussion

Bengals draft has finished

1. (17) Kenneth Grant, DT, Michigan
2. (38) JT Tuiomolau, DE, Ohio State
4. (119) Smael Mondon Jr, LB, Georgia
4. (134) Seth McLaughlin, IOL, Ohio State
5. (153) Sebastian Castro, S, Iowa

Happy overall with my picks. Bengals defense last year was absolute trash. So it was defense heavy draft as a whole but couldn’t ignore the interior of the offensive line either.

That's a wrap on the Bucs draft. I'll be honest in year's past I've had waaay more time and energy to devote to this than this year. There's a few important things happening up here in Canada that have diverted my time and attention away. So I expect I made plenty of missteps. But here it is for what it's worth.

1 (19) - EDGE James Pearce Jr, Tennessee
2 (53) - ILB Demetrius Knight II, South Carolina
3 (84) - CB Zy Alexander, LSU
4 (121) - OG Dylan Fairchild, Georgia
5 (157) - QB Kurtis Rourke, Indiana

Bucs O is mostly returning intact from a year ago where it was pretty damn good. Plenty of holes on the D though so that's where the focus was. With some defenders coming off the board earlier than I expected the Bucs decided to go against the most immediate need at CB and ILB in the first to get the best rated pass rusher. Getting after the QB has been the achilles heel of the Bucs D for a couple of years it seems now so between adding a pass rusher in the 1st and getting Reddick in FA that should be improved. Bucs addressed the biggest holes in the next two rounds with a couple of guys rated at the tops of what was remaining at those positions. Interior OL, particularly at G could use more depth so they then took a shot there at an athletic guy they hope they can develop. Finished it off with a swing at QB where you can also use more quality depth and took a shot on a guy with some upside and as a bonus would likely be a very good fit behind their current starter.

49ers draft is done.

  • R1 (11) - Armand Membou, OT (Missouri)
  • R2 (43) - Benjamin Morrison, CB (Notre Dame)
  • R3 (75) - Elic Ayomanor, WR (Stanford)
  • R3 (100) - Ashton Gilotte, EDGE (Louisville)
  • R4 (113) - Danny Stutsman, LB (Oklahoma)
  • R4 (138) - Rylie Mills, DT (Notre Dame)
  • R5 (147) - Kaimon Rucker, DE (North Carolina)
  • R5 (160) - Jack Nelson, OT (Wisconsin)

Focused mostly on the trenches. I suspect they'll focus on defense at 11, but Membou is my top rated OL this draft and it's a big need for them too, especially looking down the road and factoring in Trent Williams' age.

Morrison felt like too good of value at 43. I think without his injuries, he'd be a clear first rounder.

Ayomanor's the pick I'd redo if I could. Was looking at WRs for the Texans' pick in the 50s and couldn't decide between Harris and Ayomanor. So when the guy I didn't choose was still there at 75, I pulled the trigger.

Rest of the draft went toward throwing shit at the trenches to see what sticks. Lots of high risk, high reward picks. My focus was on defense given the earlier offense picks, but flip that if its a defender they end up actually taking at 11.

Jets draft complete

1 (7) - WR Tetairoa McMillan, Arizona
1 (28) - QB Shedeur Sanders, Colorado
4 (110) - TE Terrance Ferguson, Oregon
5 (145) - OT Chase Lundt, UConn
5 (162) - S Calen Ransaw, Tulane

Will never happen but getting McMillan and Sanders would be an all-time steal at the draft. WR1 and QB2 of the draft. This should help Jets right away by giving Fields all the weapons he could ever hope for, but you have Sanders for when Fields inevitably proves unable to the task to leading an NFL offense. Would have liked to address the OL, but that's not the Jets style. Ferguson in the 4th has some athletic potential as well as a pass catching TE something the Jets don't really have. Took a flyer on an athletic but raw tackle and a STer in the 5th. Overall this would be a solid class for the Jets, IMO.

I picked Sanker with pick 106!

That concludes the drafts for the Titans and the Colts. Definitely didn't have the free time to research the draft I had last year. I felt like my knowledge of the draft completely fell off in round 4, and then I just kinda picked names I vaguely recognized. Leaned somewhat on the NFL Stock Exchange podcast. Did enjoy reuniting Cam Ward with Martinez with the last pick.

Patriots are done. Goal was to improve along the line of scrimmage on both sides, get Maye an upgrade at WR, and a 3rd-down receiving back who's solid in pass-protection. Pretty happy overall with how the draft turned out, if we got to the 7th then I'd be looking for a TE, a CB, and potentially a QB3.

1 (4) - Will Campbell, OT, LSU
1 (32) - Emeka Egbuka, WR, OSU
3 (69) - Ozzy Trapilo, OT, BC
3 (77) - Josaiah Stewart, EDGE, Mich.
5 (144) - Jordan Phillips, DL, Maryland
5 (171) - LeQuint Allen, RB, Syracuse

So I guess this concludes the draft:

5. Jacksonville Jaguars - Mason Graham, DT, Michigan
36. Jacksonville Jaguars - Shavon Revel, CB, ECU
70. Jacksonville Jaguars - Jayden Higgins, WR, Iowa State
88. Jacksonville Jaguars - Wyatt Milum, OT, WVU
107. Jacksonville Jaguars - Lathan Ransom, S, OSU
126. Jacksonville Jaguars - Sai’vion Jones, Edge, LSU.
142. Jacksonville Jaguars - Caleb Rodgers, Guard, Texas Tech

Jaguars need a lot of help in the defense, Mason Graham is the favorite to go to them at pick number 5, which should bring a lot of help. Cornerback is a huge positional need as well, to go with the safety, and a backup EDGE to go with Travon Walker and Josh Hines-Allen. Offensive line has been a problem as well, they signed a few but tried to get help there as well. Higgins should be a need as well, after Brian Thomas they are pretty thin there, Dyami Brown showed promise down the line in Washington but isn't optimal number 2 and they still lack depth. Probably need a RB as well but didn't get to pick one here.

27. Baltimore Ravens - Donovan Ezeiruaku, Edge, BC
59. Baltimore Ravens - Xavier Watts, S, Notre Dame.
91. Baltimore Ravens - Charles Grant, OT, William & Mary
129. Baltimore Ravens - CJ West, DT, Indiana
136. Baltimore Ravens - Zah Frazier, CB, UTSA
176. Baltimore Ravens - Bhayshul Tuten, RB, Virginia Tech

Edge rusher is the number one need, Ezeiruaku was the best available there. Otherwise defensive line should need bolstering, got one in CJ West in the fourth round. Otherwise quite defense-heavy picks, safety and cornerbacks are a need as the secondary needs help. Otherwise one pick for the offensive line and also a pass-catching backup running back.
