2025 Hfboards NFL Mock DRAFT Discussion

I actually wanted S Nick Emmanwori to Bucs. I know they have needs at CB as well, but such a versatile weapon at S would play well in that D. Bucs D's for alot of years have depended on good S play.

After missing on that target it really came down to Campbell or Pearce for me for the Bucs. But myself I think pass rushers are just the hardest thing to find, so I went with the slightly higher ovr rated pass rusher over positional need. Interior backers are easier to find than pass rushers later so really it came down to that. Plus we know David is playing one more year, so it's not like a panic time yet for Bucs on that front.
The Bucs have a couple of decent safeties imo, so for me it's either Campbell or one of the top CB's, Barron, Thomas, or maybe one of Hairston or Revel. I guess if one of Mykel Williams or Jalon Walker somehow fall to them on draft day, then perhaps, but after they acquired Reddick in ufa, I don't have edge as the biggest need currently. I'm not as high on Pearce, so if any of the other guys above are still there and they take Pearce, well, it'll just be another disappointing 1st round pick for the Bucs, when better and more needed players were available (like last year, when they didn't draft DeJean in rd 1).

There's no way Jeanty slides to 20 in real life. I actually considered taking him at 19 to the Bucs, despite how little sense it makes positionally with Bucky Irving in town. I get the RB values are lower these days, but we just had 2 RBs selected in top 12 in 2023, we are coming off the most RB important season in quite awhile and Jeanty is the most hyped RB prospect in at least the past decade. I'd be shocked if he falls out of top 10.
I'd say Barkley was more hyped than Jeanty as some analysts had him going first overall. Jeanty's a great prospect tho and I wouldn't be mad if the Raiders picked him 6th overall. After Johnson and McMillan he was next on my list for that pick. I don't think Jeanty or Sanders make it out of the top 10.

I was teed up for Mykel with the Falcons, but with him gone I figured let star potential at a less vital position. Nick E reminds me so much of Atwater (their combines were oddly similar) a hybrid Safety/Mike which should have extra value given how little defenses line up in base even more.

Even with the Broncos’ needs at the skill positions, had Jeanty had not been there and Emmanwori had been I would have drafted him.

If Jeanty makes it to #10 I would be fine with the Broncos trading up.

Before the Geno trade I had #12 as his absolute floor. Jerruh did draft Zeke #4 after all.
They’re also going to need big production at a lower cost. I think this will be similar to Zeke’s career arc, which means he’s likely overvalued, especially in a deep RB draft. Zeke was in decline after year 4.

I always look at touches and carries coming out of college. If you’re a team that thinks they’re a running back away from being in the Super Bowl, that would max out the value. Zeke had around 650 touches. Jeanty was over 800, and he’s not even 5’9”.

Hard to choose between corner and pass rush being the Packers biggest need, but my favorite rushers were off the board and they did well last time they went to Kentucky for a corner in Carrington Valentine.

Had an offer to move down and pick up an extra 3rd (plus a pick swap) but the move down was just too far and it didn't look any of the guys I liked would still be there.

2 weeks ago? This pick is most surely a DT, maybe Tyler Booker (who was gone in this mock) but what they did in FA made this more of a BPA type deal. DL is still a need as Allen and Hargrave are both 30+ but not as pressing. Also had Barron rated higher than any DL left. And his versatility is a fit for Flores defense.

It's also a need pick. The Vikings did re-sign Byron Murphy but beyond that they only have newly signed Isaiah Rodgers, who only has 1 quality season under his belt and still unproven 2023 3rd round pick Mekhi Blackmon, who is coming off missing the whole season with a torn ACL. Oh and yesterday they threw a dart by signing former 3rd overall bust Jeff Okudah (Kwesi loves his reclamation project former 1st and 2nd rounders)

Texans OL revamp is complete.

Robinson, Fisher, Howard, and now Simmons at OT, all of whom may see some time inside

Tomlinson, Patterson, Scruggs, Ingram on the inside

Line is deeper than last year and can't get much worse than it was.

I’m not a big believer in height=durability and the power backs tend to break down faster.

Now I’m a total Size Queen when it comes to receivers.

Jets looking to package 42+73 for any pick from here to 32, assuming the guy they want is still on the board. Upping any previous offers I had proposed lol.

EDIT: Just noticing our list has the Seahawks having pick 73, but all other sources say Jets have it that I can see. Just a mistake on our list?

Yes Seahawks don’t have 73

Fixed.

Cmon tell me Jets fans wouldn't be jumping for joy to land both McMillan and Sanders, even if it cost the first 3 picks of the draft to do it.

Absolutely. I think there would be a feeding frenzy between either all or at least 2 of NYG, TEN, LV, CLE & NYJ if he falls to the early 20's. I was expecting some calls from some of the GMs for offers for pick 21.

If The Raiders weren't planning to extend Geno, I would've took Sanders at #6 and I really wouldn't be mad if they do anyhow. I highly doubt he falls past the top 3 in the real draft.
