The Boston Bruins are proud to select, from the Medicine Hat Tigers, defenseman Bryce Pickford!

Hailing from the village of Chauvin, AB but listed from many places as Edmonton born, the 6'0 RHD who went undrafted the year prior had a breakout season offensively and then went supernova in the postseason, setting a modern record consecutive playoff games with a goal by a defenseman. I believe that sits at 8 WHL postseason games (10 goals), but he extended it to 9 straight games with 2 goals in the Memorial Cup opener. In total, he scored 20 regular season goals in 48 games, 13 tallies in 18 postseason games, and added 2 more and counting at the Memorial Cup. He's been apart of two Memorial cup teams with the Seattle Thunderbirds as a rookie and now the Medicine Hat Tigers. His offense came on in a big way this season but he has been known and regarded as a staunch defensive presence.

-----

Another great pick, very similar profile to Ryker Evans who I picked in the 7th a few years back — passed over in his draft season, and broke out offensively the next year as the 1D behind a phenom in Bedard and McKenna respectively. Even his height and weight are identical to Evans lol.
