Prospect Info: 2025 Draft: We are #1….1

people are projecting him not looking at what he is. imo. he is going to fill out and get even stronger and that would improve all the areas of his game.
I understand that. My point would be more that McQueen already holds a physicality advantage so that's not something he needs to learn with a high upside of benefit. It's the skills and tools that I question and don't believe height really provides unique benefits to developmentally. If I were looking at a large player who would greatly benefit from increased physicality, it would be Mrtka and Lakovic.

I think if all goes perfectly he’s a comparable player and role to Reinhart

Goal scoring wing who can play C. Great defensively and some physicality. Not going to transport the puck all over the ice themselves. 3rd best F or so on a cup contender.

This seems pretty reasonable, but I'd say that McQueen's size with worse skating will make him stick at center rather than moving to the wing. Reinhart is a bit smaller but faster than McQueen.

I think it's moot to be talking about him at #11 sadly, I think he's probably going to Boston or Philly if he's healthy.

Nah I think that’s an illusion due to size. McQueen is maybe a better skater tbh.

Not about size i just think the wing plays to his strengths more. I want him in early on the forecheck and able to go to the net with abandon rather than having to take on the responsibility of center ice. Doesn’t need to carry the puck as much or be a great playmaker on the wing.

the kid is still growing, you grow that fast you lose some coordination. so, you have to think that in time that will all change, it's not just strength.

I thought this was posted before but this video basically sums up my thoughts on McQueen pretty well. I just don't see "it" with him any time I see his play.

I'm not saying he's some schmuck or anything. Just not somebody I'd want to take at 11 or 12.

he's been cleared for the combine testing. that will be huge. imo

If it was truly just a fracture and he's fine moving forward, I'd be okay with him at 11.

Schaeffer
Misa
Hagens
Martone
Frondell
Desnoyers
Martin
Mrtka
Eklund
McQueen

Having skimmed through the EP Draft Guide, the guys I'm most interested in around 11 are Bear, Martin, Frondell and Carbonneau in no particular order.
