Prospect Info: 2025 Draft: We are #1….1

To clarify, I'm not saying a team does organizational needs over BPA. I'm not expecting large reaches based on needs. What I was saying is that, after 2nd OV, you have a solid 6-8 players that could all be considered BPA based on flavor preference. When it comes time to pick, if you have a center, wing, and dman available that you rate equally, you can use organizational needs as the tipping point.

Like at 11, if we choose between Aitchenson, Lakovic, and Bear, I would say they are all equal, all have pros and cons, and you can debate which one is truly the best player. But if we need centers, go Lakovic.

That's where I'm at with Seattle and potentially even Anaheim.
Lakovic is a left winger.

That's where Bear has some center traits..

It wouldnt shock me for Hagens to go 1st. I think thats a higher possibility than him dropping. Kindel is someone I am intrigued at 11th, barring others dropping.

Mem. Cup on NHL Network. Gavin McKenna on now, Desnoyers not playing today but they’re in, and former Penguin Frankie Corrado on the broadcast team.

Is Wiesblatt signed by anyone? Overager probably leaching heavily off McKenna but a free prospect is never bad.

They just mentioned he’s signed to an AHL deal.

What does everyone think of Cullen Potter?
Unbelievable skater. Maybe the best in the draft. If we had 2 1sts I’d consider him with the later one.

Looks like the Milwaukee Admirals. But that makes sense, that's where his brother is who was a Nashville Predator pick.

Dubas will be active this off season and at the draft. He probably moves Heinen, Karlsson and one the RW's if a deal is too good to pass up.

I think at this point my hope is O’Brien or Martin.. very different players with different upsides/projections but I have them pretty even.. with Eklund as kind of a safety pick. I don’t know what I’d do if all 3 are gone, maybe consider Reschny or Aitcheson, maybe even trade down a little if we can get a 2nd and still get Reschny. Could we get a decent 2nd to only move down a few, say 4-5, spots?

Yeah Aitcheson's kinda grown on me. I still would rather have Martin, O'Brien, or Eklund ahead of him, but I wouldn't be bummed if he's the guy the Pens end up with.

Best case: Martone or Hagens. Worst case: McQueen.

I think Ozzy was a Sharks pick, traded to Nashville earlier this season for Egor Afanasyev, who just signed a new deal with San Jose.

Hopefully add Accari and Hayes to your list.
And then hopefully continue adding. Though personally I would keep Karlsson for at least one more season (or at least until the trade deadline, depends on the standings).

But that is for another thread.

I had a dream the Penguins drafted Lakovic at #11, somehow got an early 2nd to take Murtagh and helped facilitate a 5 team trade to get Quinn Hughes to Edmonton

So you can place your bets on that happening now
before I place my bet, I need a little more information. did you eat a hot sausage sandwich after 10 pm?

Mackenzie has McQueen as a high pick in his rankings. I want O'Brien, Martin but if both are gone, yes roll the dice on McQueen if the physicals are good. Key is a RH center as a number 2 type center.

if you want to take a chance maybe nesbit 6-4 center with a good back just needs some good coaching and a little luck.
