I don't know if Potter with his size projects very well as a C. The game is not just offense......a C has to be good both sides of the puck. Potter's skating would give him the ability to cover a wide area away from the puck but it's kind of like with Jack Hughes.....size and strength facing much bigger matchups (some of whom will be excellent players in their own right) might often put him at a disadvantage in defensive situations. Also his skating is something I think I'd more like from a wing than a center trying to fast break out plays. I'd want him jumping out in the neutral zone more.....not so much defensive responsibility but a fast break player like Caufield.

Disagree with all of this.
Hes a different skater than Jack Hughes (Hughes' strength lies his edge work, his speed good but isn't really anything spectacular) and at the very least, has shown he's more than willing to put in the effort required to pick up guys on the back check and will often get himself back into a good defensive position using his feet to break up a rush attempt against where he's caught a bit deep where other guys would just be toast.
There are certainly advantages to being bigger, especially on the defensive side of things (if you take up more space, thats less space for your opposition to operate) but a lot of defense is knowing where to go and giving a shit. It's not sexy or fun so people generally don't really focus/care but Potter has at least shown that he's willing to put in the effort to cover himself in his own end and thats most of the battle.
would you just trade us this year's pick. and we will keep your first next year. that is if you're trading the pick anyway. what would be the asking price? For me, there's a well-defined top 7 that's inaccessible.
Then 4 guys that I'd want. Martin, McQueen, Smith, Aitcheson. If they go 8-11 and no one drops from the top 7, then I'd be pissed.
Even if we elect to keep the pick, nothing's stopping us from offering PIT to re-swap so they can get two in a row. That is, if we don't like the way it plays out. If PIT really likes how it plays out, they might even send us a tiny something extra.

My take is that we can elect to keep this year's pick 48 hours before the draft. Then, if PIT likes how the top 10 plays out more than we do, we can offer to swap with next year's for a small add "for free."would you just trade us this year's pick. and we will keep your first next year. that is if you're trading the pick anyway. what would be the asking price?
we could give you rust, but it would need to be as a player to be named later. (he has a no trade that runs out after the draft) he's one of sully's favorites and on a good contract. My take is that we can elect to keep this year's pick 48 hours before the draft. If you want your own this year, ours this year, your own next year, AND ours next year...I don't see a deal there.
The asking price would just be "the right player."

Miller + 12 might be able to get Utah’s 4th…I agree. I can also see these scenarios
Kreider traded for either a 1st, and or 2ed and other picks
Those picks used to move up into the draft or to acquire someone like Rossi.
Maybe Rangers package Kreider KAM and 12 to see what they can get.
I bet the Rangers keep the pick to either get someone like Rossi, move up in the draft, or package to change the culture like a Tkachuk level of change of what happened with the Panthers.
If the Rangers were to package Kreider, KAM and 12, I wonder what they can get.
Any chance Drury packages Kreider or KAM with the 12th overall?? I bet he can get a solid return.
But the real question is
can K’Andre Miller, Kreider and 12th overall package get a top 5 pick?

Miller is worth a first. I know we hate on him but we hate on everything
