2025 DRAFT Discussion

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord Server
Guy I would like to take with our 2nd is Nathan Behm. I just kinda stumbled on him because he’s a teammate of Brunicke, and he has good production on a bad team. Bigger winger, not real fast but can make tight turns. Game isn’t built on speed but he’s always in motion. Good board work. Looks like he’s using a stick that’s 4 inches too long for him but his puckhandling is good. Scores in a variety of ways, lots of tip-ins. Kind of a Vanek/Stone style of player. He even holds his stick like Stone with the face of the blade pointing upward. On a better team he’d probably be at least a little more productive.

He’s pegged for the early-to-mid-2nd but if he falls or we trade up he’s someone I like.

Jarry remembering how to not suck feels like it’s definitely going to push their 1st more towards #8. That said, I think the difference between the #6 and #10 pick is a lot smaller than the #4 and #6 pick in this draft.

Still holding out hope for Eklund or Mrtka without a lottery win. Would be really happy with either of them at #8.

Two keys are getting a center and then Rangers pick as well. Then see what Dubas does draft day in moving Karlsson and one of Rust who I prefer or RR. High picks and or prospects and that should be close to the emphasis on getting the system fuller to develop and provide competition. But at least there is a plan here for the transition from the Sid, Geno years. Get a couple top 6 centers the next two years and a couple RW with some size and skill and Pens will have cap space to add. Yes teams have space as well but selling a positive trend with emerging talent is attractive.

The Rangers have sucked lately yet they’re still 15th in the draft order I think.

Probably best case scenario is them missing the playoffs but still giving up their pick because that’s funny.
