Use to be everyone loves Raymond and now everyone loves Martin.
Id get him also , but I am pretty sure it will be much better prospect that will be available after Martin.

Leaves us with one of smith/aitcheson probably ... think teams will get scared of McQueen and there’s a high chance he’s there .... bear ...nesbitt, Spence?

I’d say if we don’t trade the pick for immediate help or trade back that’s who were probably looking at ... which means we’ll pull a Seider and draft a gastrin at 12 out of the blue
 
I do find it a bit funny that a week ago I think 90% of us, myself included, would have blown a gasket if Yzerman took Martin at #12. Now we're worried he won't make it.

I definitely wouldn't be sad if he's there and he's the pick because I genuinely believe you can never stack enough tough to play against centers, but I still think a LD and/or top scoring winger is a slightly higher need.

In other news, I continue to think Frondell is overrated. I know he came right from the playoffs, but he was underwhelming in a pretty weak U18 tournament. Also, IIRC he really started popping this year when he was put with Eklund.

100% with you on Frondell. I don’t think his feet are quick enough to be that true impact guy. And how much more will he fill out? He’s already a pretty big kid.

Yeah when you really break it down... if Martin goes before Detroit picks it likely means youre getting possibly the 2nd best D in the draft, a top 5 talent that fell due to injury history or Eklund. Martin is my realistic guy who I want, but anyone who watched the world juniors should be salivating at Eklund falling. Aitcheson is even tougher to play against than Martin/probably the toughest in the draft for the guys who want Martin for the grit/skill factor as well
