HF Habs: 2025 Draft Combine

My questions for them would be.

You are in Summer training since May until August right...

What.you do exactly as.training on those 4.months?

You train.how many hours a day? How.many days a week

What was your training ́last Summer.

What you changed on your training this Summer.

You want to improve what.technically exactly

With.those questions you can have a guess of who has the most chances to improve.more in the next few years.and.trying to guess who will be the best at.23 years.ôd for.example

That seems like the kind of questions every single prospect has a pre-prepared answer for and thus doesn't tell you much.

It depends..when you ask what is your training exactly.I would like to know.hour by hour on all the week..day by day

A kid can't make thst up..you can clearly see those who are focus organize and wanting to improve thier craft etc...

A kid who prepared the question vs a kid actually having a plan would respond mostly the same.

It's like the classic interview questions like "where do you see yourself in 5 years". You can prepare an answer whether it's true or not because everybody ask it.

It is not what I would looking for.....

When I ask whst is your training is looking like.

I want to know exactly on what he works;

Of.course they would answer my shot , my speed, my passes etc...but I would investigate all the details...you answer your passes...ok what exactly..:.a focus one would answer my long backhand passes, saucer passes etc..it is so important at the NHL level.

In fact.many Nhl players has hard time to do hard long backhand passes tape to tape when 87 and 97 are so good with that.

Take a guy like Catton last year..he said that he went to.....a goaltending camp.for a week ...can you imagine.....one of the reasons was that he wanted just to talk with goaltenders ..he asked where were the areas where it was difficult to make the saves etc..

Most of that is already covered by the regional scout, the questionnaire the teams send out and the CSS draft questionnaire.

not at all - you can't fake a tried, tested and true training regiment --- too many variables to get caught on.. Very dangerous game to lie (about this).

I coach soccer/futsal and tell every striker - better get good at net. If you want to learn how to score you have to know what the goalie is thinking...

And then you're going to get people who actually had a whole regiment planned this summer forgetting something or making a mistake, making a false negative because it's a bad question.

Most people lie (or half-truths) in interviews.
