Generally, I think there is a consensus top 6 and I expect they will all go 1-6. The only one I see falling at this point is possibly Frondell based on the U18 and maybe some concerns he cannot drive a line. There is no chance Desnoyers or Hagens fall to us at 7.

with the big wheel's and the media all there to gloat over the three firsts.

Not that it really matters but they failed the 300-meter run portion of the conditioning test. They needed to run 300-meters, 3 separate times, each run in less than 1 minute. They had a 3-minute break between each run.

It was also noted by those in attendance that day, it started raining during their testing and the track was wet and slippery.

Knee injury concerns. And he is just 18.

As far as I can tell he had a minor procedure and missed about a month. When he came back it took him a while to get his game back to 100%

I really don't see anyone they would probably have as a dumb pick. If the top 6 goes like it says (it won't) O'Brien, Martin, McQueen and Eklund would all be understandable picks whether you agree or disagree. A Mrtka, Smith or something would raise eyebrows

I’m not going to be surprised if Hagens slips. Not a lot of smaller stars in the league right now. With Florida currently setting the bar, size will likely matter.

I understand the logic. However, if you are starting out at 18 with significant knee issues, that becomes something to watch carefully, and with some trepidation.

Big risk to pick him at 7 with all this fog of his back issues but if he is healthy he could be better then the top 2. Somone might hit a grand slam here. A point a game isn't impressive at that level. Jake O'Brien was 1.5 points per game

If McQueen were Obrien's size would he even be in the top 20? 25? Does 3 inches of height really skyrocket him that much despite some of his injury worries, his poor skating and lack of production?

Yeah he is a lotto ticket. But as we all know Lotto tickets are generally horrible investments. Sure maybe you are the lucky one who beats the odds and win, but very likely just throwing your money away

I agree go with the safe pick o brian. We cant screw this up this is it especially for Donny. No more reaches. Maybe trade 2 seconds and lysell and nab McQueen if he keeps slipping down the 1st round.

Checked in on this. It is 50 percent of ALL of Florida’s playoff games, not just through two rounds. Marchand’s already played all 10 games, and Florida can only play 16 more games max. So, a FLA series win AND a few more Marchand appearances in a R3 would lock LOCK it in.

There was the previous post. Basically it says he had the one surgery and he had some additional knee issues early in the season, but really nothing to indicate that it was anything more than him just having some soreness during recovery. The AI article is entirely non specific, and has no details.

I have no doubt that NHL teams will get the full medical details on him. If he suddenly drops out of the top 10, then they probably are concerned about his medicals. I doubt that happens

I guess the question then is what constitutes “significant”

If your threshold is “any” or “surgery” then you’d pass, if your threshold is “severe with 3-6 month recovery” or “never will be 100% again” then different story. Surgery science has come a long way since the Bobby Orr days

At the end of the second round, they had played 12 games.

If the next two rounds go 7 games, that's a possible 14 more games.

12 + 14 = 26 so 50 percent of that is 13.

Marchand played game 13 last night. That condition is met.

The only thing now that can make it a 2028 pick is if it's top 10, otherwise, it's 2027.
