I remember the rags getting 1st overall and 2nd overall picks and fans saying they will be set for years. Look how that turned out. If there is a solid trade to make with the pick go for it.
They didn’t want either of those players it’s been said.I remember the rags getting 1st overall and 2nd overall picks and fans saying they will be set for years. Look how that turned out. If there is a solid trade to make with the pick go for it.
Reading AND listening to the Athletic & Chris Peters they feel talking to scouts/teams Martin has crashed the party - O’Brien is highly regarded but the 8th guy but going in top 7 not an issueCurious on where McKenzie will have Martin and McQueen on his list when it comes out later today.
Will one of them or perhaps both jump in front of one of the big 6 in Schaefer,Misa, Frondell, Desnoyers, Hagens, and Martone.
Who is the consensus guy? This is gonna be a long week...
Stick and pick. And when you do, go with a consensus guy please.
Do that and I'll be happy. Can get cute on day 2.
I don't think that's the big 6. Teams are down on Hagens... many don't think he's a C in the NHL and there are questions about his overall game. He'll be there at 6. Martin won't.Curious on where McKenzie will have Martin and McQueen on his list when it comes out later today.

McQueen, Martin, O'Brien, Eklund... One of the projected top 6 that may fall.Who is the consensus guy?
Eklund really isn’t consensus for the top 7 though. Neither is McQueen.McQueen, Martin, O'Brien, Eklund... One of the projected top 6 that may fall.
I don't really care or have a strong preference at this point. They all offer something different and all have strengths/weaknesses in certain areas. At this point I just care that they don't go off the board and surprise everyone.

You've named about ten guys you want so you should be happy FridayMcQueen is growing on me he could be the best of the bunch kid has oodles of talent that was hidden because of serious injury.
Who are the NHL comps for Martin & Desnoyers?

Per EF on 32 Thoughts podcast today-
There are rumors Frondell COULD go 2nd overall to SJ.
Rumor that Hagens goes to Philly at 6 if there.
Also stock is rising on Martin (duh) and Desnoyers.
I see Martin as a skilled version of Jordin Tootoo with skill and Desnoyers as Trent WhitfieldWho are the NHL comps for Martin & Desnoyers?
I would credit Sweeney for being aggressive in getting his guy, but moving up for McQueen would be a super risky move. It’s because of this I think Sweeney should be willing to package a first and someone like Poitras or Lysell to move up and take McQueen
And I like the two B’s I mentioned in that move
I like your list. I think I would rank them exactly the same way.JOB
McQueen
Martin
Eklund
If any of those guys are available at 7 that’s how I would personally rank them
McQueen will be around at pick 7, no need to trade. It’s because of this I think Sweeney should be willing to package a first and someone like Poitras or Lysell to move up and take McQueen
