I think Desnoyers is the guy everyone at the top of the draft is going to regret not taking 5 years from now

I have been saying this for months now Desnoyers will have a solid NHL career

I believe if he’s there they are taking him - both Neely & Sweeney went to U18 saw him dominate

I don’t think he gets by Utah though

with the recency bias the NHL GM's have you know these playoffs have knocked guys like Hagens and OBrien down a bit and the big winger and centers move up. Martin will surely be overdrafted, I am thinking Chicago who have lots of smaller forwards over the past few drafts.

I like some of the guys projected between 10-15. That’s why I’d move zacha for the 15 pick. Vancouver needs a centre that’s nhl ready bad. They have to show Quinn Hughes they can win. Zacha should be their target.

I would not deal Zacha for futures if it hurt my present

I would be as stunned if Zacha was traded - he’s a veteran who can play multi positions and both specialty teams

If I’m getting 15 I want it expanded to include Connor Garland

If I’m Don Sweeney why am I subtracting a good player for a pick that logically won’t be around for 2-4 years

It’s like asking to be closer to being fired

I put it at 1% without a guy like Garland coming back

Btw - what a bummer no Bruins 2 rounder traded to Detroit

Absolutely if they would do this. For all the joking around here about age, Lohrei is already 24/25 years old and incompetent defensively and leveraging his size. A larger Krug, where Krug at least gave effort defensively.

I didn’t like Lohrei d this year. He only played a year full time. Im wiling to see if there is improvement this year

I think Chicago goes with Martone.

World Championship appearance boosted his stock, Almost a 2024 draftee he can step right into the Hawks line-up, bigger body and gives Bedard a running buddy sooner rather than later.

He and Ethan Czata are ranked close by McKeen's draft guide. I would be happy with either. Martin and either one of those two would make me pretty happy on draft day, if they don't move the pick for immediate help which is my first choice.

I would def go Desnoyers or Martone. Could see Martin. Nazar, Moore and Bedard all on the smaller side.

Desnoyers would be the ideal 2C behind Bedard.

If they want a very solid #2 center, then he's the one they should select. That would set them at the 1-2 center positions for 15 years.

If they want a great winger, then Martone should be the selection.
