Outside of the 7th pick, I hope they take Charlie Threthewey with their earliest 2nd. They could use a RHD. He's committed to BU and idols McAvoy.

Not gonna defend Lysell, but he and Eklund are 2 very different players. Eklund reputation is as being ultra competitive max effort all the time, and plays bigger than he is

Well that’s a good point, but they were late first rounders and a second rounder. They were not taken at 7. That’s the thing. Famous last words by me? Who knows, but that’s my take.

Lohrei had/has legitimate NHL offensive skills for a defenseman.

Beecher is an borderline elite skater

It likely never happens but a top 6 with McQueen and Letourneau down the middle if both hit their ceiling would be insane.

Yes, but he's still a wild card IMO. Teams don't have to worry about the injury but he still played a small sample and unlike Schaefer, didn't dominate. At his pace of 20 points in 17 games, he'd have less points than Brady "no talent" Martin if he played the same number of games, and Martin is a birth year behind. At the same age, McQueen put up 51 points in 53 games. So all that upside that folks talk about, is untapped, unproven potential.
