Then again, with the second pick in the draft, Sharks can select Victor. He is, after all, reported by many to be a top 10 pick. They have an added incentive to unite him with his brother. GM reportedly in a discussion with William’s agent at the Buffalo combine. He wants to re-sign him and avoid RFA status.
They won’t draft at 2 but would be wild if did

I asked Gemini to create a trade proposal that saw Boston trading up from #7 to #2 and here's what it had:

Boston Receives
#2OA

San Jose Receives
#7OA
'26 1st (unprotected)
Lysell
Lohrei

What does everyone thing? Would you do this deal to draft Misa?
I don't know who Gemini is but I wouldn't do that trade because of the unprotected 1st. If it was the Leafs 1st I'd definitely do it though.

Is there any possible way having dinner with Don Sweeney as a stranger isn't the most uncomfortable experience not involving public nudity or adults in clown makeup?
Actually he can be personable, articulate and has a sense of humor

Years back my wife and I won a Bruins Foundation auction to have lunch with Don. The morning of the scheduled lunch his office called and invited to sit with him at morning practice- where we seat in the Loge as he commented on players. Then off to The Fours (sigh) for lunch with Don and Bob Sweeney. At one point during lunch Don got a call and left for 15 minutes -instead of begging off early, he took the call and came back from another 45 minutes.

We can differ on how we view his performance as GM- but as a host and and as a person - he was a 10

I think the big question is what type of restaurant are they taking these prospects to. I'd say if it's a high end Steakhouse or Italian restaurant then they're probably really interested in drafting the player but if it's a cheap all you can eat buffet then they're probably just being nice to a skinny kid who needs to add weight.

Good story and I'm not surprised that Don would be like that. Why was Bob there though?

It was an auction to benefit the Foundation- Bob heads it so he was there in a thank-you capacity.....and btw- while he comes across a bit stiff on the air, in person he is a very easy-going and highly likable

If they ever do something like this again it is a fun way to contribute to the Foundation and get a real insight into the Bs management

Wining and dining Brady Martin are they? Hmm. Interesting. Arguably the best attitude and hardest worker in the draft and definitely fits the Bruins ideological goals but rarely if ever ranked as high as 7. Then again rarely ranked below 10 or 11 so not a complete reach. I have mixed feelings if that's the pick.

Brady Martin

Commentary
Martin brings an intense, physical two-way game while also having an excellent skill level. He is a potential top-two-line center that Boston desperately craves and plays the way the Bruins like.

With the number of picks the Bruins have in the next couple of years, this is great news. Now, if they add the OHL and WHL over the next few days, it will be even better.

I’ve heard you say this and I’d do it. I have no reason to believe Zacha would be enough for that pick but I’m in if he is.
I’d be willing to bet the Canucks, Jackets, Canadiens, and even Detroit bite on a first for Zacha. Some of these teams have had enough draft picks in the past 3 summers that they are just looking for players. I don’t think I’d move Zacha just for futures in that range though, you’d be losing a lot of value and risking quite a bit, while also pissing Pasta off.
