NHL 2025 DRAFT - Bruins pick 7th II

Hey B’s fans. Steven Ellis from DFO is talking NHL draft on our Utah podcast. But it might be relevant to fans of teams picking right after Utah. Lots of the same players being discussed.

Who do you think the Mammoth will take? (Pretty cool name & logo btw!)

If Geekie really can net you a 4th, I’ll get my dog shaped pet bath van ready, cue up Mockingbird, make Neely buy my lunch after he spits in it, and drive Geekie to the Rockies myself with a pit stop to see our friend Mary Samsonite along the way.

Finish it off by giving Bill Armstrong a baby blue suit and a bowl cut.
You are now in my Tier 1

ELITEPROSPECTS.COM enormous DRAFT GUIDE dropped yesterday and had some surprise among the ranked top prospects. They really put alot of work into it but we'll see how good they are. Great scouting reports
4-Hagen 5-Roger McQueen 6-Jackson Smith 7-Desnoyers 8-Carter Bear
9-Eklund 10-O'Brien 11-Carbonneau 12-Brady Martin
13-Anton Frondell 14-Lyndon Lakovic 15-Radim Mrtka

Seems a bit risky to take McQueen at 5, Philly has three first round picks so they may go for it.
Players are all over the map. Gonna be an interesting and unpredictable draft day I believe.
I still think Frondell will be picked in the top 5-6-7 range but hoping for Desnoyers anyway. Hagens and Martone I really like. Maybe O'Brien or Martin
I'm sure there will be some huge surprises and some good 2nd rounders too.

I love EP but can't get behind some of these ratings. Frondell at 13 is just ridiculous.

Bruins being bruins , top 6 will go
Top 6 ! Only fuc%}% habs can get demidov when teams 2-4 pass on him. Will not happen to lucky Bruins
Considering our ping pong ball lack of luck. It's probably true. But who will we target at #7? Will we go for a winger like Eklund or go for the best available center such as an O'Brien, Martin, or Mcqueen.

As long as Sweeney does not take a defenseman at 7 or go off the board, I will be okay with it. Although not the biggest guy, I'm kinda liking Eklund. Would also be okay with any droppers from the top 6, or O'Brien, Martin, or even McQueen should his medical check out. When you think about it 7 isn't the worst spot to be in.

It could be a great sweet spot, I was thinking the same thing

All the pressure is on you when you pick top 5
