Strikes me as the perfect Spacek replacement. Agree with Marty, don't like that first game would be quarter. I'm hoping he is already on a plane.The possibility of Kämpf coming is a great bonus to the Leafs flaming out in the playoffs once again
Great game, much more dominant then I expected .. of course we were a bit lucky with those posts when it was still 1:0, but we went towards it the whole time and thats hockey. But overall we were far superior team on the ice today. Now I am not sure about GKs lol, Vej looks good but seriously Vladar seems to be in even better form lol
Hope we score that point tomorow. Its absolutely crazy that after such great performances in the group we can still finish 3rd and go on Sweden or even worse Canada in QF lol

The good:
We are undefeated
We beat Swiss
We have tournament leaders on scoring
We are top 3 in goals scored
We are defending champs
Both goalies cooking
D is working very well and outperforming the names in the jerseys! A very solid group
Forwards are playing great.
The bad
We lose tomorrow and we can still get Canada or Sweden in quarter.lol. Or Swiss/USA if Denmark defeats Germany
Necas is doing fine but he's clearly pissed.lol
Vej tomorrow and bring on the USA. Something tells me they have another gear and we are about to see it.lol

Exactly this, USA is still kinda finding themselves on this tournament, but I have a bad feeling they will find themselves tommorow lol ... as for performance showed so far we have edge and look better going to tommorows game, but as for realistic strenght on the paper USA is better lets just be honest about that.
Hope for that point cmom .. I know I said before tournament I wont be pissed even if we get kicked out in QF, but damn after such a great goup it would be really a shame to end so early .. but getting Sweden and Canada would be really tough to beat
Zadina is a winger and the other wingers simply are looking better. If he was a C, he would maintain the his spot for sure. If Kämpf is available for the QF game, he would likely replace M. Špaček.

Tomorrow's match could be one of those when the US team can pull out goalie much much earlier (extra skater in powerplays since second period etc.) They need only 3 points win

Well we are all talking it like its best to finish 1-2 .. but finland may toss all those plans down the toilet yet lol

33 to 9 is glorious.
I'll make a safe bet and says Swiss beat Kazakhs clean. That puts them at 19. We need to win in regulation or OT to guarantee first.
While I don't care about first in pool play... I do care about a more manageable quarter. Although, so much hockey left and so many scenarios. Latvia could finish 3rd... Canada could finish 3rd... FInns could finish second.
My hunch says that pool ends Canada... Sweden... Finland and Latvia. But man could that age poorly.
And Finland just took Canada to OT ... which says that nothing is certain yet, and also that the may actually be playable after all

HOWEVER... Latvia and Austria cannot catch the top 3.
We need a win over USA (OT or regulation) to avoid those 3 and get Latvia or Austria.. or Denmark in the 'weird scenario' where Sweden is playing Denmark (which is a possibility).
My advice? Just win that game tomorrow! Any kind of loss and we get a tough draw. Not that I don't think Austria or Latvia could take us out.

we just need to win. if we win in ot we will still be 1st because of head-to-head
Everything is going too smoothly so far. We are extremely productive, the goalkeepers are great.. I somehow expect everything to get complicated. Especially because we are not so dominant in terms of play and yet according to the results it looks like the exact opposite..
