WC: 2025 Czech Team

I'm mainly worried about who will play center for Neči (I hope he will go), there has been no positive news for too long. Špaček has never performed anything really good in the national team and they are probably counting on him as the second center.
Yeah the C is probably the biggest weakness, Spacek is the obvious choice out of those who are currently available, but agree that he really never showed much at Worlds.

We really need Hertl or Kampf

Yeah they sure will be good again, but I would still think them as a 5th in line for gold on paper

Sweden, Canada, USA, Czechs, Switzerland, Finland would be my guess as for chances for gold

I love Rulík, but this take is rather strange. Swiss have two amazing players coming from NHL, but so have other top teams and even more, and their euro core is just not as good as ours or Sweden, Finland imo

They will be good, but not at all biggest favourites.
Two? Fiala is also confirmed. At least on paper is a hell of a line. But well, let's see this WM might be really interesting.

You got to be kiddin me lol. I mean no offense towards Swiss, but they had to be the luckiest team in the world in last couple of Worlds .. all they stars always get kicked out and all of them always come lol

Basically they play the last three tournaments almost at their best OG lineup lol

At the same time our NHL players should take example from Swiss .. cough cough Palat and Gudas looking at you bros

Also not just NHL ... Tomasek and Kubalik what? Seems like saying no is not a legit answer in Switzerland

Well, the context is key here, I think our player and coach are well aware that we have the best generation of player we ever had so, they want to make something out of it and inspire future generation I guess

Lucky would be an ok term if Josi wasn't so hard to get, he is such a game changer :(

I will say.. Swiss future scares me and the U18 just got relegated. The present? It's outstanding!

I think it's best to think in tiers instead of ranking teams. Swiss could beat absolutely anyone and follow up the silver with the Gold. Having said that... MacK and Sid are going to be a problem for all of us.lol I know it's just 2 guys but the rest of the team is good too!

For me it is C depth. It's good players but that is our big weak point.. I don't even think Sedlak would be a C at the Olympics and he will be our 1C. No disprespect to him but Hertl, Zacha, Kulich, Kampf would probably be our 4C's today.

Our D is suspect too.lol But I like all of them and know that Hronek will play 30 minutes in the quarter.lol Kundratek and Krejcik were part of the Gold last year. So was Spacek and maybe he's not as scary on D as last time.lol

Yeah the relegation is really bad but could be a great thing if it act like a shock, historically this team never performed that well in junior and this must change if we hope to stay good, producing great player will surely help but obviously the problem behind this is more structural and ask for big answers quickly

Anyway hope we can all have fun and cheers as long as possible in the tourney!

Sedlak makes the olympic team as a winger

Idk I have worries about the D ... Sure Hronek is amazing, Krejcik, Kundratek and Spacek are good and showed last year they can handle the tough games .. but then it goes a lot downhill from that and thats still 2-3 guys you have to field who are just average + Tichacek who I think is great, but inexperienced and probably lacks some physical atributes for this kind of tournament

Idk Gudas and Rutta and Kempny really did a big difference last year

Canada should let Travis Konecny play for us. They have enough stars. Noone will notice it with his surname.

Btw, almost forgout about Rutta... What's his reason to not play here?

If I am not mistaken, Gudas has planned surgery, so it is very understandable that he skips the WHC. Can't criticize him in any way for this.

Idk I thought it was because injury too at first, but yesterday I read some comment on him and WCH and that he just wants to get ready fo OG.

If he is really injured then its understandable
